✨You might have more in common with a young person than you think.✨

Do you ever wonder what our young people's interests are? Well, let me tell you.
These are real responses from our young people who are waiting to be matched up with a befriender.
Some of their answers might surprise you.

We have real people waiting to be matched up with someone like you who has similar interests. Get in touch with us today if you could give a couple of hours of your time to offer support.

Several befriending matches met with Ranger Toni Lamont at Caerlaverock Castle on Saturday to make musical instruments from wood. After safely sawing, whitling, chopping and nailing, they formed a line and walked through the woods with whistles and shakers, making some unique sounds and stopping to identify a variety of trees! Thanks to Ranger Toni for providing such a fun and informative morning.

All at DGBP would like to thank Hainey Construction for supplying tradesmen free of charge to fit units and worktops in our new premises at 53 Queen Street, Newton Stewart.

The team also went above and beyond and completed a number of maintenance jobs to allow our befrienders and young people to get access to the facilities at the earliest opportunity.

Thanks again Allan and the team for making time to divert from your busy diary to help our charity out.

Funding is essential to the service that we deliver and the saving of labour costs on this project will allow our befrienders and young people to attend activities and spend time cooking in our wonderful new kitchen.
