So, you’ve all heard of Pin the Tail on the Donkey, right? 😁 Well, Dave from SDS gave us a great Halloween challenge with a twist on this old favourite… 🎃👻

Better Lives Partnership is looking to recruit a Service Administrator as part of our administration team, to provide vital administration support to Better Lives Partnership’s Dumfries based service, working in partnership with the Service Lead, the senior management team and the wider organisation, partners and families.
The successful candidate will be a motivated individual with excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accurate records and supporting the efficient running of the service. The Dumfries staff have now all completed their Introduction to British Sign Language training 😁 This will help us to remove communication barriers for individuals who are deaf, hard of hearing or non verbal. Another positive step towards social inclusion at Better Lives Partnership. The team are continually learning and adding to their knowledge and skills, so we can provide the best service to all of our our young people 🙏

One of our young people Kate, attended the recent Dumfries Unsung Hero Awards night with us. Doesn't she look amazing! 😍 She was joined by pooh bear, who also had his photo taken by the photographer. Doesn't he also scrub up well? 🐻

Did you know that transitional objects such as teddies, sentimental pieces of jewellery, favourite items of clothing or memory keepsakes can be used as tools to aid self regulation during times of stress? Kate recieved an A grade for her college graded unit on transitional objects and is such an inspirational role model to others. We are very proud of her and everything she has achieved! 💙

Better Lives Partnerships Mega Christmas Raffle!!! 🎁💙🎄🎫🎅

Raffle tickets are available to purchase for £2 per ticket. We have lots of amazing prizes up for grabs, with the top prize being a 3 night stay for 4 people at Coastal Kippford 😁 Watch this space for an updated list of prizes... We have been busy collecting them throughout the October holidays. The raffle will be drawn at our Christmas Fayre on Saturday 21st November. All of the funds raised will go towards our young peoples social inclusion in our community 🙏
