Only one more sleep until our 100th Anniversary Celebration, Church Service and Parade!
Are you coming to celebrate a century of Sea Cadets and Royal Marines Cadets history in our historic towns of Dover and Deal?

Here is how we are reflecting on history today as we count down to tomorrow's historic milestone:

📜 Our Unit History & Today's Remembrance

• D-Day 82: Today, 6th June, we mark the 82nd anniversary of D-Day.

• Archival Treasures: Our history is on display at the Dover Museum, featuring Councillor Langley’s album showing our cadets on parade at the 1937 Zeebrugge Raid service.

• Honouring a Local Hero: Today, our cadets are on parade at the Maison Dieu for the plaque unveiling of a Dover-born submariner Victoria Cross hero.

⚓ Remembering the Wider Naval Family

As we look forward to tomorrow's celebrations, we hold the wider Royal Navy and Royal Marines close to our hearts, as we stand in solidarity with the Naval family as we remember the tragic loss of the Royal Navy servicemen and woman in Devon this past week. Rest easy—your duty is done. 🇬🇧

• Parade: A spectacular march between venues will leave St James area initially stepping off approx 12.15 led by a East Kent Cadet Band.
• 12:30: Church Service at St Mary’s Church, Dover
• 13:00: Centenary Celebrations at Dover Town Hall (Maison Dieu)
• It is promising to be a truly unforgettable day celebrating 100 years of supporting local young people through nautical adventure and fun! ⚓✨

If you're an ex-Cadet, Staff, PSA or Management, your old unit turns 100 this year! We're celebrating and would love for you to visit and relive some old memories. There will be a parade and an event at the Town Hall in Dover, with a buffet lunch.

A great day today of air rifle shooting on our unit range with cadets from around the district!

Cadets are taught rifle handling skills and undertake range target shooting as part of a structured programme of supervised training the emphasises safe and responsible use

A huge shout-out to the team at Dover Marina! ⚓️☀️
Thanks to your supportive guidance yesterday, we had a fantastic and informative excursion from the Wellington to the outer marina. It felt like a true coastal adventure!
Great team, fab leaders, and we feel totally safe. Looking forward to working with you this season! 🛥️💙

A busy day for TS Lynx as the warm season returns!

This morning some of our cadets took part in the Zeebrugge Remembrance services at St James cemetery and outside, Dover Maison Deui.

This afternoon the cadets got out on the water with Cinque Ports Sailing ⛵️

And this evening for our regular parade night, the cadets are out on the water for some rowing practice, getting back into it! 🚣
