It looks like Glendevon country park has dodged a bullet, it was on the cards some time ago that Cove holdings who were buying up parks in Scotland were interested in purchasing Glendevon, well they have just collapsed into administration owing over £100 million - we wonder who will step in to buy them, interesting times!

Energy Action Scotland (EAS) is working with the Scottish Confederation of Park Home Residents Associations (SCOPHRA) to help people living in park homes across Scotland who are struggling with high energy costs.

Many park home residents experience severe fuel poverty. This is because they often cannot choose competitive energy suppliers and may have to buy energy from park owners at much higher prices.

To support residents, EAS has employed two dedicated Energy Advisors who will work specifically with park home residents across Scotland. They will visit households and provide practical advice on how to heat homes as affordably as possible, while helping residents stay safe, warm, and comfortable.

More information is available in the attached documents, that introduce the Energy Advisors, Eve Brebner and Claire Waite, and explain the support the project will provide.
Please support Eve and Claire when they visit your park.

They can offer advice and refer residents to schemes and services that may help reduce energy bills.

All the best

Hello all, we have had a great response so far from people in the glen to our appeal for all of you to fill out registration forms to become members of the GCTG (Glendevon community transport group)- you may think that you will never use the service, but many of you probably would, just think of the savings when going to the airport, you won't need to pay for car parking while you are off sunning yourself, just book the "community bus". A few friends get together to go to the theatre with drinks and a meal, just book the "community bus". A day out, just book the "community bus" Going shopping, again just book the "community bus" - we will be organising dedicated journey days to Auchterarder, Tillicoultry and Kinross, and maybe even as far as Alloa and when you pre book you will be picked up at your door, what a service eh! - but you can only book the bus if you have registered by filling out the required membership form, so become a member now. Please be clear that to use the service you only need to have a property in Glendevon and be registered, you do not need to be on the voters roll or to live here permanently
