We are inviting practices and PCNs to book onto an upcoming Tier 2 Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training on Learning Disability and Autism session

To proceed, we need a minimum number of bookings. If we do not reach this threshold, we may need to cancel the session.

This training is essential for staff working at Tier 2 level and supports delivery of high quality, inclusive care for people with a learning disability and autistic people.

Support your newly qualified GPs and Nurses with our Early Practice Support Scheme

Designed specifically for clinicians in their first 12 months after qualification, the scheme provides valuable support that helps settle new starters into general practice with confidence.

The scheme offers monthly educational sessions, access to professional coaching, and a training bursary of up to £500, helping early-career GPs and nurses build skills, resilience and local networks.

Practices can claim up to £1,440 per year in funding to release clinicians time for participation, reducing the financial impact of protected learning and development.

Coming Soon: New Tutor Opportunities for the Chesterfield Trainee Transition Scheme

We are delighted to announce the forthcoming launch of the Chesterfield Trainee Transition Scheme, developed in collaboration with The Phoenix Programme.

Building on the success of similar schemes supporting GP trainees in Nottingham and Sherwood Forest, this exciting new initiative will provide GP ST3 trainees with small-group teaching and peer support as they prepare for the transition from training into professional practice.

We will soon be recruiting three tutors to help shape and deliver the programme. This opportunity is particularly suited to early career GPs with an interest in medical education, offering valuable educator development alongside the chance to support colleagues at a pivotal stage of their careers.
