It is on 10.30 until 4 at St Peter’s church in Derby city centre. All the proceeds from this fabulous event are donated to the rescue. There are lots of stalls, talks and demonstrations. Hope to see you all there.

A message from Kia to all of our wonderful customers, followers and supporters:

It is with a heavy heart that I write this.

What started as a 'this will never work' project full of passion in the middle of lockdown, became something amazing and you were all a part of it.

Everyone who has met me will know that I wear my heart on my sleeve, will do literally anything I possibly can, and also that with my ADHD, I overshare!

I have been publicly mocked by competitors for doing it, but I never let it change me. Cariad Babi was always meant to be REAL. One parent to another. So I'm going to end this the same way I ran it.

Behind the smiles and the scenes of the incredible work myself and my team were doing, I was battling some big battles. From serious health conditions, to domestic abuse, and SEN children, I've really had a hard time.

I worked 6 days a week, including weekends and missed out on important family time. Whilst packing up my entire life and battling courts, I stayed the course and gave everything I could.

And I loved it. This isn't a complaint or a pity post. What I'm getting to is, the community I wanted to build, became a community I very much needed. However, I have today, closed the shop.

I am so very grateful for every one of you, for those who tagged me, recommended me, shopped with me, supported me and knew my personal life. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.

And don't panic, the shop may be gone, but I'm not! I'm working remotely, around my children. We have a lot of healing to do now that we are free from the difficulties we were hiding before. It's just my boys and I now, and we need some rest.

I will be here, supporting you. The sling library will be postal (I can't give you my address as it is court protected). The eco store will be online. The babywearing consultations and car seat advice session will be virtual. My aftercare will also be via video call or local home visits where possible.

I'm not ready to say goodbye completely, so please do stay with me and my boys just a little longer as we prepare for this next amazing adventure.

Shop and book online as normal and my boys and I will lovingly pack your products and dance our way to the post office.
