21/11/2024
It’s with heavy hearts that we share the closure of our much-loved Derby Hub.
Despite the dedication of our amazing team, post-COVID challenges, rising costs, and lease complications have left us in an impossible position. We will cease operations in December 2024 when our lease expires.
We’ll fulfil all pending orders and servicing jobs. Bikes can be collected, and returns will be honoured until Friday, 29th November, but we’re closed to customers now.
This decision has been extraordinarily difficult to make. The closure of the Hub will leave a significant gap in Derby’s cycling community, especially for those who face extra barriers to cycling.
We would like to extend special thanks to our staff, volunteers, freelancers - and Foundation Derbyshire, Cycling UK, the Big Lottery Community Fund, British Red Cross, Derbyshire Refugee Solidarity, Derby City Council, Sustrans East Midlands, Cycle Derby, and the University of Derby.
We are very sad to say goodbye to the amazing people who have joined us on our mission. Thank you to all who have supported us. It’s been an incredible 11 years.
