Coming September 15th and 16th (then every week)

Mini Friends is our wonderful friendship group for our under 5s and welcomes parents and carers, granddads, dads all welcome.

We are based at 2 sites

Tuesday Close Alvaston in the Community hub

Wednesday Close Allenton near Surestart centre.

Good Morning

Yes we are on our Summer Break however Christmas is around the corner.

Yes I mentioned the C word 😉

This year is very different for us as a group and are unsure how we can deliver but we still want to do as much as we can.

So we are asking you to support us if possible by thinking of how you can help:

Sponsor a child
Sponsor a hamper for 1, 2, 3, 4+ people
Sponsor a warm pack

Donate items (however we need to find storage space first
Warm pack
Hampers
Children gifts

Storage space (secure)

Reverse advent calendar in Nov /December for All Christians Together SE Derby foodbank

We will start drip feeding information in September.

Want to wish lynn all the best - she was a co lead in setting up our project and assistant manager until a couple years ago when she took a back seat on the day to day and concentrated on the craft grouo.

She has now fully stepped back and we want to say Thank you.

We wish you all the best going forward.

This means that for the rest of the year we will not be having a creative crafts on a Wednesday however the craft box will be out and various materials available for you to pick up and enjoy. Or being your own craft along.

Lots of creative play.

We then shared a lovely luncheon club with Spaghetti Bolognaise and cheesecake made by Molly.

We are open Tuesday and Wednesday this week then closed for 2 weeks.

Slightly different mornings for the younger ones as both Leaders are away. So my plan tomorrow is Messy Play - paint with hands and feet, sand, play dough etc (no physical toys as Cathy away and I dont drive so cant bring)

Luncheon Club is Spaghetti Bolognaise with a cheesecake pud (optional)

Other foods are available but limited choice. Craft and chat also on.

Wednesday hopefully will be a similar morning with sand, paint etc but the weather looks a little wet so we may down structure the messy play and be a little more creative on tables / mats.

Wednesday afternoon also sees craft and chat and creative crafts. 1230-230pm (lynn has to leave early so will set you up and ill be on hand to support if needed.)

Then we break up for 2 weeks whilst we have time with our children and get them all set for back to school and colleges

Few changes.

This will be happening but due being closed for 2 weeks in September and my sister visiting in October (from Australia) I've made the decision to pause this till start of November.

We will do a few things for Christmas and then January crack on with a full structure of crafting.
