**OUR REHOMING PROCESS**

Step 1:

Fill in our Perfect Match adoption form! This can be done via three different ways:

- Email Sophie, our Rehoming Co-ordinator, to request a perfect match form. ( [email protected] )

- Or complete the form online here http://tinyurl.com/4k9pdjvs (this will aut

omatically be sent to us!)

You can express a preference for any cats you have seen on our website or our social media pages. However when you are contacted, you will be advised whether you are a match for a specific cat. Please make sure you live within one hour’s drive of Darlington before applying! (We can advise on how to find a RSPCA centre closer to you if you are too far away to adopt from us!)

Step 2:

Sit back and wait! Waiting time for us to respond to applications is around two weeks, so please be patient! Step 3:

Your details will be added to our database and you will be contacted when a perfect match is found! When we have a perfect match you will receive an email or phone call, asking for further information and to discuss your future feline friend. Step 4:

If we can offer you a cat or kitten for adoption, the rest of the application process will be completed via phone, email and a virtual home check via online chat will be completed. Step 5:

If the adoption process is successful, your cat will be brought to your home by experienced RSPCA staff. There is an adoption fee to pay when you get your new feline friend:

- Kittens under 6 months: £110
- Cats 6 months - 6 years: £100
- Cats 7 years or over: £90

Step 6:

Live happily ever after with your new feline family member! If you have any questions or need advice, don’t worry, you will receive ongoing support from us following adoption!

Would you like to help RSPCA Darlington & District support animals in our local community and the cats and kittens in the care of RSPCA Cat Rehoming Hub? 🐱🐾

We have several local donation drop-off points where you can donate fresh and sealed pet food, treats/toys and essential items.
These donations will be distributed between the local community and RSPCA Cat Hub😻

These donations help support local pet owners who are struggling, assist RSPCA Inspectors during urgent rescue situations where food needs to be provided, and provide vital supplies for the many cats and kittens cared for by the Cat Hub each year❤️💪🐾

Every single donation, big or small, makes a real difference. Everything we do is only possible thanks to the kindness of our supporters, and we are so grateful for your continued support 💙🐾

Teamwork Makes the Dream Work 🐾❤️

Recently, we were alerted by the RSPCA Middlesbrough, Teesside & District Branch to an urgent situation involving several cats and kittens in need of help.

We’re incredibly grateful to have been able to work collaboratively with the wonderful team at cat and kitten rescue - in memory of Sassy James 1999-2011. A huge thank you goes to Lise James, who put in all the hard work on the ground, safely trapping and rescuing the kittens.

The kittens are now safe and settling into the care of our amazing foster carers, while the adult cats have been neutered as part of a TNR (Trap, Neuter, Return) programme to help prevent further litters.

Collaboration between rescues is so important. By working together, sharing resources, knowledge and support, we can help more cats and kittens get the second chance they deserve ❤️

A huge thank you to everyone involved in making this rescue possible 🐾✨

Introducing Ophelia & Noir 🐈‍⬛🐾

Ophelia (black and white female) and Noir (black female) are a stunning, 1 year old duo who are searching for their forever home.

These gorgeous girls are a little unsure of humans right now, but they’re proving to be inquisitive and open to slow and friendly interaction with their foster mum.

However unsure they are now, they are showing signs that they’d like to be loved and have recently let foster mum rub their ears and will accept a tasty lick-e-lix treat. So with an experienced owner who will take things slow, we believe that in time, Ophelia and Noir will blossom into very loving, sweet young ladies. 💙

🏡Ophelia and Noir would like to be rehomed together, in an adult only home and could potentially live with another friendly and confident cat.

💙SEVEN DAYS OF SMUDGE…DAY 6💙

18 year old Smudge, aka “Smudgie”, is currently the RSPCA Cat Rehoming Hub’s longest resident. This past week we’ve been on a mission to find her future forever family and change her status from “available” to “adopted”!

Smudge adores affection and will happily come and find you when she’s ready for a fuss. She’s enthusiastic about her food and is not shy letting you know if you’re ONE SECOND late for dinner time! 😼

She enjoys cosy hiding spots and although she is more of a lady of leisure in her retirement, she does have the occasional playful moment chasing small balls.

🏡Smudge would prefer a calm home with no other pets. She will need some help with grooming and potential owners should note that Smudge does struggle a little with contracting her claws, so a close eye will need to be kept on her claws to help her (and you!) stay comfy.

Is this your cat?

This lovely young female feline was found in a member of the public’s garden, in the Stockton-on-Tees area. She has remained in or around their garden for a period of 3-4 weeks.

She is approximately 9 months old, she is NOT microchipped, is friendly and appears to be in good condition.

We are concerned that she is someone’s beloved pet, and if possible, we would love to reunite her with her family.

Mirabel is a the most beautiful and gentle 1 year old girl ❤️

While she can be shy at first, Mirabel is slowly but surely coming out of her shell more each day. Underneath her nervousness is a sweet, curious little girl who wants to explore the world around her at her own pace 🐾

She has such a soft, gentle nature and is looking for a calm, understanding home where she’ll be given the patience and reassurance she needs to truly blossom ✨
