A splendid day in superb sunshine for our latest stock show held at the orange blossom show at our secretarys' splendid residence. A good entry overall albeit a bit disappointing in our stock show .
This was the Brian Teague memorial show and it was lovely to see our president, Sandra Robertson in attendance to present a lovely BIS certificate. the winners were:
Best standard Sword and Keen with a doe. And Best In show was Neva Dearnley with an adult mini doe.
A super day out with lovely company. A real microcosm of what a lovely hobby like ours can be. The weather did help, but the people made.
I'm delighted yo say that Stephen Sword has agreed to carry on with the secreatarial duties with help , particularly on show days from Ian Dearnley.
Let's hope to see many black rex at London ( its not far away). Don't forget you can pay your 2026 subs at London or the all rex show to Steve.

Our first stock show of the year. Not very well attended. However Paul Keen and Stephen Sword went best rex overall in the Essex Championship show with their adult standard doe adult. This same rabbit was BIS in the UK rex stock show and best standard in the National black rex stock show. Well done boys!

Best in show in our National black rex stock show was Neva Dearnley with a mini doe adult.

Hopefully many of you will have renewed your subs for 2025 at Bradford. If not please can you settle up with our secretary Stephen ASAP. The ballot for this years judges ( for those who didn't complete it at bradford) will be sent out in the post. Please return these asap as per the details provided.

Another Bradford over!
Good news from the black rex . Congratulations to Hellfire Stud on best Rex with their winning standard adult doe which ultimately was runner up best in show. Also Neva winning best Youth Rex with a mini adult doe.

Well done to our 2024 stock show winners;
Neva Dearnley, Double Dee Stud, Keen and Sword ( x2).
It is intended to hold the clubs AGM on The Sunday at 13.00hrs. Any items you wish to raise please contact our Secretary.

Good busy day at the all rex show today. Thank you Lisa for judging our stock show. Congratulations to Keen and Sword with BIS with a smart u/5 mini doe. Followed by their winning standard Doe. Best youth Neva with and u/5 mini doe.
Other great results for blacks include Lucy and David Berry winning BIS in the British mini rex show with a black doe , and Keen and sword winning BIS with their mini in the UK Rex YSS.

Well that's a wrap on London 2024.
In the main London show congratulations go to the North East trio of Doubledee Stud with BOB with their standard buck. Best Mini was Neva Dearnley with an adult buck. Overall it was 1st Doubledee Stud . 2nd Sword and Keen. 3rd Neva Dearnley. 4th Caldean Stud. The winner was third best rex overall.
In the National black rex stock show congratulations to Sword and Keen with BIS. Followed by Doubledee Stud. Best mini was Neva with a different adult buck.
And keeping the Black rex flag flying , BIS in the UK Rex Stock show was Neva with a Mini black buck adult.
Great to see so many good friends and I hope our chairman makes a quick recovery from his recent industrial injury.
Haven't got too many pictures as there was a bit of an embargo on photography. But did manage the one attached of Doubledee Stud! And now latterly of Neva's 2 minis.

North east championship show.
Another stock show for us . Not a big entry but very close to London.
Our chairman Dean Short did the honours and made Doubledee BIS with a standard. Runner up was Neva with a mini buck .
And in the main show judge turned winner. Dean best under 5 rex and Neva best adult rex. Dean winning out with best rex overall . A good one/two for the Blacks.

First stock show of the year. Not a brilliant entry but a lovely show all the same
Best Mini and BIS was Neva with a buck adult. Runner up BIS and best standard, CAP stud with an u/5 doe. Neva 3rd with an adult standard doe.

Very sad news today that the fancy has lost another character and another top showman in Harry Brown. Top silver and Rex man , winning Bradford with the latter. You will be missed Harry

condolences from The National Black Rex Club go out to the family and friends of Bryan League who sadly had passed away. Bryan was a great supporter of the club and was a previous Chairman of the club.
