The historic church in Falkland, Fife is being sold by the Church of Scotland. The Church was famously part of the backdrop as ‘Inverness’ in Outlander. Help us preserve this building for future generations. We’ve launched a community buyout to keep the building in community hands, and see the building take on a range of new uses.

Another good reason why our community must pull together to save our own Kirk building when it is put up for sale by the church. With new community uses, the building can be maintained and preserved.

Did you know that Falkland Parish Church was built and gifted to the community by Onesiphorus Tyndall Bruce? His love for the village saw him and his family build the church, the Bruce Fountain, Falkland House and the monument on the hill, amongst many others. A statue of Onesiphorus is in the church grounds and he rests underneath the church building.
Now that the church is being sold, we must honour his legacy and keep the building in the hands of the local community as he intended all those years ago.
