Little legs, big adventures and an even bigger impact! Join in for a half-mile toddle around Fife Zoo, where your little explorers can discover the amazing sights and sounds of the animal enclosures while helping to raise funds for Barnardo’s.

Every child taking part will receive a sponsor form, activity pack, juice and biscuits to enjoy along the way - and the fun doesn’t stop there! Your ticket also includes the opportunity to spend the rest of the day exploring the zoo, with adults going free for this special event. 🦁🐒🦜

Every young person deserves to feel safe, valued and free to be themselves. Pride is a celebration of progress, but it's also a reminder that young people's rights, voices and experiences matter every day of the year.

Young people are shaping a brighter, more inclusive Scotland every day. Their courage, ideas and determination inspire hope for the future.

As we reach the halfway point of Pride Month, we're looking ahead with hope - towards a future where every young person can thrive as their authentic self.

🌟 Yesterday, members of the Barnardo's Fife Locality team took part in the Community Connections Fayre at Glenwood High School in Glenrothes.

It was a fantastic opportunity for local people to discover the wide range of services and support available in the area, meet the organisations behind them, and make valuable community connections. 🤝💙

The Scottish summer can be unpredictable, but did you know that hot weather can hit differently when certain medications are involved.

Warmer weather can affect how some medications work in the body.

Some medicines can make it harder for your body to stay cool or hydrated - which can increase the risk of overheating, dizziness, dehydration, or feeling unwell.

This summer:
💧 Keep water nearby
☀️ Take breaks from the heat
🧢 Wear light clothing and sunscreen
📲 Ask a pharmacist or healthcare provider questions if you’re unsure about medication + heat

Looking after yourself is important. Sharing accurate, judgement-free information helps everyone stay safer during warmer weather.

🚨 Don’t miss our final drug awareness workshop of the year! 🚨

Barnardo’s Fife Substance Use Education team is hosting their last interactive session for parents and carers, and you’re warmly invited to join us.

🗓 When: Thursday 4th June | 6:30–8:30pm
📍 Where: Barnardo’s Fife Office, Mitchelston Industrial Estate, Merchant Place, Kirkcaldy, KY1 3NJ

If you have a young person in P7 or high school in Fife, this workshop is a valuable opportunity to:

✔️ Understand the current landscape of drug use among young people
✔️ Build confidence in having open, honest conversations at home
✔️ Gain practical knowledge and support from our experienced team
