🛑 ROAD CLOSURES 🛑

North of Fernie Castle
30th of August 2024, 7:30pm to 5th of September 2024, 6:30am

Amey is carrying out surfacing improvements on 1340 metres of the A92 in north east Fife from Friday 30th August until Thursday 5th September.

There will be a full weekend closure of the A92 between 7.30pm on Friday 30th August and 6.30am on Monday 2nd September.

This will be followed by overnight closures from Monday 2nd September to Wednesday 4th September, between 7.30pm and 6.30am each night.

All traffic management is scheduled to be removed by 6.30am on Thursday 5th September.

Diversions:

Northbound traffic will take the A91 at the Melville Lodges Roundabout towards Cupar. Traffic will continue through Cupar, then at the Guardbridge Roundabout, take the first exit onto the A919 north and then continue onto the A914 at St Michael’s to rejoin the A92 at the Forgan Roundabout.

Southbound traffic will take the A914 south at Forgan Roundabout and join the A919 at St Michael’s, continuing to Guardbridge. Traffic will take the second exit at Guardbridge Roundabout onto the A91 towards Cupar, continuing on the A91 through Cupar and rejoining the A92 at the Melville Lodges Roundabout.

Voter ID in 2024

In the UK, you are legally required to show
photo Identification (ID) when voting
at a polling station at some elections.
The name on your ID must be the same name
you used to register to vote.

Photo ID is required for...

• UK Parliament general elections
(from October 2023)
• UK Parliament by-elections
and recall petitions

Photo ID is not required for…
Scottish Parliament and Senedd elections, or local elections and by-elections in Scotland and Wales.

Heat in Buildings Consultation

The Scottish Government is currently consulting on proposals to make
new laws around heating systems that can be used in homes and places
of work and invite your views on their proposals. It is important that
you are aware of these proposals as they affect everyone. If you wish
to comment on these proposals go HERE

] and make your views known before the closing date of 8th March 2024.

They plan to:

1. Reconfirm that the use of polluting heating systems will be
prohibited after 2045; and as a pathway to 2045, require those
purchasing a home or business premises to end their use of polluting
heating systems within a fixed period following completion of the
sale.

2. Introduce a new law that will require homeowners to make sure that
their homes meet a reasonable minimum energy efficiency standard by
2033

3. Require private landlords to meet this minimum energy efficiency
standard by 2028.
