🎃 Anyone fancy organising a Halloween party?👻

We know it may feel a bit odd talking about pumpkins while we're all enjoying the sunshine, but Halloween will be here before we know it, and as it falls on a Saturday this year, it would be a great opportunity to put on a children's event at the Village Hall.

The hall is already booked – we just need a few people to make it happen! If a group of parents, grandparents, or anyone else fancies getting involved, we'd love to hear from you.

It doesn't need to be anything fancy – just a fun afternoon or evening for the children from the village and surrounding area.

If you think you could help, pop a comment below or send us a message. It would be lovely to see a Halloween event back at the hall! 🎃🧙‍♀️

Well, what a night!

A huge thank you to everyone who came along to our Midsummer Party at the weekend and helped us raise a fantastic £1,300+ for the Village Hall.

The atmosphere was brilliant from start to finish, and the dance floor barely had a chance to cool down thanks to the fabulous STORM, who had people up dancing from their very first song to their last. We must have done something right, as their lead singer announced she wanted to move to Misterton – although we're not sure whether that was before or after seeing everyone enjoying themselves quite so enthusiastically!

A special thank you also goes to the wonderful team of volunteers who planned, organised and delivered the event. From selling tickets and decorating the hall to setting up, clearing away and dealing with all the behind-the-scenes jobs that nobody sees, their hard work made the whole evening possible.

Thank you to everyone who bought tickets, donated, volunteered, helped out on the night and generally mucked in to make the evening such a success. Events like this don't happen without the support of our amazing community.

We're fortunate to have so many people giving their time and energy to support the Village Hall and organise events throughout the year. Please keep an eye out for future fundraisers and social events—we look forward to seeing you there. Thank you once again for helping make the evening such a memorable one.
