Merriott Village Hall would like to thank Melissa Beale and all the Crafters and supporters of the Local Craft Markets for the donation we received. We are very sorry to hear that the markets are discontinuing due to lack of attendance but hopefully one day we might see the occasional one. All the best

As Paula says thank goodness for our Aircon here at the Village Hall

Wowsers!!! I'm afraid I'm going to be stereotypically British and talk about the weather!🤣 It is darn hot (also stating the obvious) ...so with that in mind, our weekly shared yoga practice will be luxuriously slow, with a bit of a yin feel to it, so we can honour what our bodies and asking of us, instead of pushing on through, as we might sometimes. Come as you are, a sweaty mess is fine and I'll have the air con on ready for you all. See you on the mat, this Thursday -7:30pm until 8:45pm and Friday morning 9:30am until 10:45am and Chair Yogi's 11:15am until 12:15pm. All classes at the beautiful Merriott Village Hall.

DOOR UPDATE !

We have received confirmation that the new rear door will be installed on Tuesday 30th June by AllGlass & Glazing. followed by the addition of the door automation system on Tuesday 14th July by Zodiac Security.

We have appreciated your patience in this matter but it’s been a lengthy process to make sure we have the right system in place for all our hall users especially those less able.

Hopefully, the finishing line is in sight.

Would you like to see “Halloween at the hall” again this year for the children of Merriott…

If so we are in need of helpers again or maybe the involvement of the local primary school. If anyone is interested in getting involved please contact us via email at [email protected]

Also we would like to encourage other local groups to have events at the hall and maybe bring back long lost traditional ones like “flower shows”.

We currently have a yearly photography & heritage Exhibition and would love to see more of these happening.

Another brilliant “sold out” Quiz Night at the Village Hall on Saturday organised by ARK at Egwood. Well done and thank you to everyone who attended and supported them.

There will be another chance to test your brains 🧠 in October, so get revising and look out for the date.

Ark are fundraising to get some new fencing to keep the animals in, especially the goats, as they keep escaping apparently. Hopefully a good amount was raised towards this.
