💖 A Huge Thank You from The George Reynolds Centre! 🌟

Our Summer Happy Healthy Holidays Somerset programme has come to an end, and we couldn't have done it without the incredible support of our community partners, helpers, and volunteers.

A special thank you goes out to:

🌱 Angus, Jon & Ian from Crewkerne Gardening Club for supporting our plant and gardening activities
💃 Catherine from Helen Laxton Dance Academy – for bringing so much dance, energy, and fun to our hall!
🍞 Kate & Steph from – for your support with tasty food and activities!
📚Somerset Libraries Crewkerne – for donating wonderful books for the children to enjoy
🧸 – for providing equipment allowing opportunities for plenty of fun free play

And last but certainly not least, Mayor Alice Samuel who stepped in to support whenever an extra pair of hands was needed!

It truly takes an entire town to bring these sessions to life! Thank you to everyone who contributed your time, resources, and passion to make this summer unforgettable for local children and families.

🏆 What a fantastic celebration of achievements at Crewkerne Rangers FC! ⚽✨

🥇 U7 Warriors & U10 Cobras Presentation Day
The U7 Warriors and U10 Cobras had a wonderful time celebrating all their hard work this past year! Every player proudly received their medals and trophies.

📸The celebrations kicked off with a special visit from Mayor Alice Samuel, who kindly said a few inspiring words, congratulated the teams, and joined in for team photos.

The U16 Weavers capped off the awards season in style with their presentation evening at The George Reynolds Centre (GRC), celebrating an incredible year of football and team spirit.

☀️ It’s been an extraordinarily busy and active Summer for everyone at Crewkerne Rangers. Ending the break on such a high note has everyone recharged and ready to hit the pitch for the new season starting this September! 💪⚽

✨ What a fantastic time we’ve had across our last two sessions hosting the Happy Healthy Holidays Somerset programme! 🍕🌸💃

The children packed in so much fun, creativity, and energy:
🍕 Pizza Making: Kneading fresh dough and baking custom pizzas.
🌸 Fairy & Zen Gardens: Building mini plant worlds and decorating treats with edible flowers
✨ Glitter & Dance: Sparkling up with glitter tattoos and dancing under the disco lights!

🗓 Final Session: Thursday, 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM

And that’s a wrap on summer! 🎨✨
Our Crewkerne Community Youth Project at The GRC is now officially on pause for the summer break.

We’ve had an absolute blast getting messy with slime making, creating colourful tie-dye, and crafting—as you can see from a few snaps of our favourite recent creations! 🧪🌀

We’re taking a quick breather, but we can't wait to see everyone back for more fun when we re-commence on Tuesday 8th September.

We're still on a high from the first ticketed event The GRC's seen in a good few years! A massive thank you to Sip Happens and for making it happen. 🍾🥰

The food, the atmosphere, and the setup in The Oak Room were absolute perfection! 🍸🧀

And it proved one thing: Crewkerne loves a proper night out🪩

Now, we want to make special nights like this a regular monthly thing at The GRC—and we’re calling on both our community AND brilliant local suppliers to help shape the calendar! 📅✨
