IZAK OUR SPOOK DOG UPDATE
17 weeks ago one of our volunteers took Izak, our spook dog who was scared of everything, home on foster to see if he could cope with living in a home environment. Our volunteer had bought her family to visit kennels several times so he did know them slightly but he wasn't particularly happy with them. At first he made his safe place in front of the front door however after weeks of hard work and gentle handling Isak is doing really well, he still prefers females but will take fuss and treats from foster dad and he's gradually getting used to foster Granddads too. We are now looking for a permanent home for him and we know it won't be easy and we'll need a very special home, a quiet environment, all female would be perfect but a quiet male could get accepted eventually, loads of patience is key. He's clean in the home, he did try a quiet walk around the estate twice but then decided it wasn't for him but he loves being in the garden. The family is willing to work with anyone who would like to adopt Isak, several meetings would probably be needed but if you think you have the time and patience to give this boy his furever home please contact us via Facebook messenger or email [email protected]
