Stand With Sienna

Last night, without being asked, Adriana wanted to do Sienna's meds. As I stood there watching, I couldn't help but think how much these two little girls have already been through together.

When Sienna became critically ill, Adriana lost so much too. She lost normality, she lost time with her little sister, and she had to grow up far quicker than any child should ever have to. Yet through it all, she has never stopped loving, caring, and looking out for her.

Watching her so carefully and patiently helping with something that has become part of our everyday life brought a tear to my eye. Not because it's sad, but because it reminded me just how incredible children are.

People often talk about Sienna's strength, and rightly so, because she amazes us every single day. But last night, I was reminded that recovery isn't just about one person. It's about family. It's about love. It's about the quiet moments that nobody sees.

Two sisters. One incredible bond.

And one very proud mum and dad watching it all unfold. ❤️

Sometimes, in the middle of all the appointments, medications, and worry, you get moments like this that make you pause and realise just how lucky you are.

These girls have been through so much together, and I have no doubt they'll spend the rest of their lives looking after each other.

My heart is full. ❤️💜

Yesterday was one of those days that reminded us just how much kindness exists in this world. 🧡

When we got home from hospital in February, we were contacted by our amazing Priors Hall resident head chef, Cheryl Ash, who wanted to do something special to put a smile on Sienna's face.

Despite fighting her own battles every day, Cheryl took time out of her day, refused to accept a penny, and organised a wonderful "Pizza in the Park" afternoon for Sienna and her friends.

Sienna ate pizza, played games, laughed with her friends, and spent the afternoon doing exactly what every 4-year-old girl should be doing — playing without a care in the world.

A huge thank you to Cheryl and her family for creating such a special memory for us all. Your kindness won't be forgotten.

We'd also like to say a massive thank you to Country Pumpkin Bakery for unexpectedly donating 20 beautiful cupcakes. Such a lovely surprise that made the day even more special.

In a world where negativity often gets the headlines, we're constantly reminded that there are so many genuinely good people out there.

Not the weekend we had planned.

Late on Friday night, Adriana ended up in A&E after her ear piercing — exactly 12 weeks after having it done and just as she was due to take them out — developed a nasty infection. The stud is now out and she's on antibiotics for the next week, so hopefully she's on the mend now.

Being back at Kettering A&E was a surreal experience. I walked past the bay Sienna was first in when we brought her in on the 19th November, and it instantly brought back so many emotions.

Then we were called into the observation room and two amazing nurses read out Adriana’s full name and details. They looked at me and asked, “Are you Sienna’s Dad?”

They told us they all still follow Sienna’s journey, and that the A&E ward felt very heavy for days after Sienna was placed into an induced coma and transferred to Nottingham. They all feared the worst.

One of the nurses shared something that will stay with me. Her mum sadly passed away a few months ago and she said she and her family had been really struggling. She told us that when we posted the video of Sienna walking out of hospital, it gave her a huge lift. Not only that, she shared it with her whole family and it brought them strength during a very difficult time.

She wanted us to know that Sienna’s determination, courage and refusal to give up through the darkest days has given hope to so many people.

We set this page up to share Sienna’s progress... but also to bring hope and positivity to anyone who might need it.

I genuinely can’t quite believe that our little girl is bringing so much comfort and hope to people we've never even met. 🧡

Back in February, while we were still living in hospital, Laura from Tesco Corby reached out to ask if they could support Sienna through their in-store book donation initiative.

Over the last 3 months, the community has come together in support yet again — and yesterday we were invited in to receive an amazing £1,280 towards Sienna’s rehabilitation and recovery. 🧡

We are completely overwhelmed by the love and support that continues to be shown to our family.

During the darkest days, it felt like everyone was standing right behind us, helping us survive… and unbelievably, we still feel that same support just as strongly as Sienna continues her journey forward.

What an incredible community we live in.

In May, me and Angelina will be taking on 50 miles for The Eden Dora Trust for Children with Encephalitis 💛

This is a charity incredibly close to our hearts following Sienna’s diagnosis with encephalitis back in November.

Since then, we’ve learned just how devastating and life-changing this condition can be for children and families. The Eden Dora Trust does amazing work raising awareness, supporting families, and helping to improve outcomes for children affected by encephalitis.

We know so many of you have already shown unbelievable support towards Sienna — and we will never take that for granted ❤️

So this time, we’re simply asking…
