Police officers are appealing for witnesses following an assault in Parkland Gateway in Corby town centre on Monday, April 13.
The incident occurred between 2.45pm and 3pm as a man in his 30s was walking past the East Midlands International Pool towards Corby Boating Lake and was assaulted by another man.
The victim in his 30s sustained head and facial injuries after being repeatedly punched before being struck with a bicycle several times.
The offender is described as mixed race with a tanned complexion, in his early 30s, about 6ft 1in and of a slim build with black shortish hair. We do not have a description of his clothing.
This is a busy area of Corby town centre and officers would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the assault or who may have caught the incident on dash-cam or filmed it on their mobile phones.
