We are incredibly grateful to Project Linus for their wonderful donation tof beautiful quilts to Home-Start Corby and Pen Green Children’s centre.🥰

We truly appreciate the time,care and kindness that has gone into making each and everyone.There are so many beautiful designs and we can’t wait to share them with the famillies we support.

☀️What a summer of fun at Home-Start Corby!☀️💛

It has been an exciting summer for our Home-Start families!We have enjoyed so many opportunities to get together,have fun and make special memories.

🌳East Carlton Park- Our families enjoyed exploring the woods,finding the river and spotting the cows along the way.There was lots of exploring and adventure!

🎪Wicksteed Park- Everyone loved the excitement of the rides,from the thrill rides to the smaller rides for our little ones.There were plenty of smiles and lots of fun!🎠

Rockingham Castle- Our final trip was packed with activities!The children loved Tony Best Kids Parties, Northampton's Childrens Entertainer and his amazing bubbles🫧,as well as plant potting,making windmills and wind chimes,face painting and hair braiding aswell as a colouring competition.Rockingham Castle

A special thank you to Corby Town Council for kindly providing some of our famillies with free cinema tickets to the see the new Spider-Man film!🍿 🕸️.The children had a fantastic time!

🎧Today,the fun continues! Corby Town Council are providing children throughout Corby to a silent disco and a VR experience!We know the children are going to absolutely love it and we can’t wait to see them dancing,laughing and having a good time!💃🕺🪩

We couldn’t have made these trips such a success without you.Thank you to everyone who came along with their own children,supported other families,helped out on the trips or simply gave their time to make sure everyone had a wonderful day.Your support,kindness and willingness to help means so much to us🧡

☀️ Sun Safety Reminder ☀️

With the warmer weather continuing across the UK, we’d like to remind everyone to stay safe in the heat.

Children are more susceptible to heat-related illnesses than adults, particularly those with medical conditions or who are taking certain medications.

Our groups and services will continue to run as usual. However, if temperatures become too high, we may consider conducting home visits where appropriate to help keep families and volunteers safe and comfortable.

To stay safe in the sun:
🧢 Wear a hat or cap
☂️ Use umbrellas for shade when outdoors
🧴 Apply sunscreen regularly
💧 Stay hydrated and drink plenty of fluids
🏃 Avoid strenuous activity during the hottest parts of the day
🔌 Be mindful of electrical appliances and chargers, which can overheat in high temperatures
