The latest items for auction are now live, and this particular piece is one that will certainly appeal to dedicated Phantom aircrew signature collectors. We previously sold the other half earlier in 2025, which was also signed. However, since then, this item has acquired several additional signatures over the past year and a half, making it the final piece of its kind to be offered at auction.

Signees include, Sir John Allison, Mark Manwaring, Jock Reid, Dick Northcote, John Connor, Martin Walsh, Mike Pugh Davies, Dave Roome, Laurie Hilditch, Jim Stuttard, Martin Selves, Al Foster, Terry Newman, Tony Wheeler, Keith Dennison, Graham Mckay, Jim Stuttard, Andy Brown, Alan Foster, Martin Selves, Steve Noujaim, Tony Dixon, Rhod Smart, Andy Simmons & Tony Gibson.

Due to the heavy rain on Saturday, volunteers were unable to carry out the planned external work on XT597, so efforts shifted to tasks inside the hangar. Part of the team continued removing additional components from XT905’s cockpit, while others concentrated on restoring recently acquired equipment.

In relation to the latter, the group has obtained a sheet metal roller, which will be valuable for producing replacement panels for the aircraft structures—similar to the spine panels visible in the photo of ZE360. The roller itself needs refurbishment, the kind of task some of you may recall BPAG are quite familiar with from their previous experiences at Manston when working to relocate ZE360.

On the subject of panels, work has also begun on recreating XT597’s electrical panel door, with new hinges to be fabricated to complete the reconstruction. Hopefully, improved weather at the next work session will allow us to concentrate our efforts on XT597.
