Thinking of taking part in our Shoebox Appeal but not sure where to start?

We hope that all of you who have half-term this week are having a good break!
Looking for something different to do with children this week? Why not take part in our shoebox appeal?🎁
It’s a great way to spent time together as a family thinking about people who are less fortunate. You can choose who you will fill a box for and have fun shopping for what they would like, then wrap or decorate your box and maybe make a little greetings card for the person who will receive it.
We send shoebox gifts for all ages from babies to elderly people, you can read more here about how to wrap your shoebox and what to include: https://www.internationalaidtrust.org.uk/shoeboxes/
Who will you send a smile to? 😁🎁😁

More from Saturday's celebration! Rev. Bernard Cocker, our Founder & CEO is pictured here sharing, and with our leaders from overseas

Bernard writes:

35 YEARS OF FAITH, HOPE AND LOVE! ❤️🙏🇬🇧🇺🇦

What an unforgettable evening!

On Saturday 17th October, we celebrated the 35th Anniversary of International Aid Trust at the magnificent St George’s Church, Chorley — the largest church in the town, with seating for over 1,000 people. (My oldest brother Louis was church warden there for many years) And Chorley is where we began in 1991. Thank you St George’s !!!

What a wonderful sight to see the church overflowing with friends, supporters and so much love!

It was a truly memorable evening of thanksgiving, celebration, music and inspiration, with wonderful performances from both the United Kingdom and Ukraine.

We were especially honoured by the presence of Lord and Lady Shuttleworth, Lord Charles being one of our valued Patrons, together with the Mayor and Mayoress of Chorley, the Leader of Lancashire County Council, and many other distinguished guests, church leaders, friends and supporters.

It was also a tremendous joy to welcome our overseas ministry leaders, particularly those from war-torn Ukraine.

But above all, this was an opportunity to say THANK YOU!

Thank you to our incredible volunteers, trustees, staff, supporters, churches, donors and friends who have stood alongside us over these 35 remarkable years.

From small beginnings in 1991, God has opened doors we could never have imagined, enabling us to bring practical help, hope and Christian love to countless people in desperate need.

The evening was not simply a celebration of what has been achieved, but a celebration of the wonderful people who made it possible.

To everyone who attended, performed, organised, contributed or supported us in any way, thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

And above all, we give God the glory!

Our guiding principle remains unchanged:

“Never look down on anyone unless you are bending down to lift them up.”

With my love, gratitude and blessings to you all.

Whilst the Vision Mission team were in Moldova recently, they were also able to visit elderly people and families who are supported by the churches, to distribute humanitarian aid, including warm clothes, blankets and bedding sent from our warehouse. Thank you very much for all your kind donations that make this possible. 😊
We give thanks for this practical help for people living in poverty, we pray that as the church members continue to love like Jesus does, those they help will want to get to know Jesus for themselves.
