we are in the north west
a wonderful town, and
the community is the best

O to be in Chorey,
Where the famous cakes are from , They're med wi raisins and pastry
Goodness in every crumb

By eck them chorey cakes are gud
Spread un a dollop O butter
ave one wi a cup O tea
Yer couldn’t taste out better
4)
The Vimto factory tis long gone
Ay: the cotton mills gone too
But, its the people of Chorley that makes it, the likes of me and you
5)
Take a Stroll in Astley Park
a beautiful Space
or sit and watch the world go by
Escapes today's rat race
6) Chorley folk are frendly folk
They like to say hello
You'll be greeted by a smiley faco throughout the town for sure
7) Chorley+ South Ribble Hospital campagne
To save our NHS
A bunch of Chorley warriors
Are out there doing their best.
😎 we have a bakery, perfume and shop
But, the ol market is bargain galore
Bags, clothes and soap
Who needs anything more

9)Chorley’s voice is sharp but patient
Smart, and kind but not complacent
Enduring, changing, brand-new, ancient
Good food, stage crews, flower arrangements
10) the bus station canny get you anywhere, but behind is a special place
The shepherds ale pub
Beers and ales of every taste
11)But finally, the place of all
For poets big and small, 🐾
It’s the Chorley poets society
