Join us for a guided bat walk in Monkton Park on 13 June at 9pm to celebrate Eco-Future Fest!

This event will begin with a short talk - learn what makes our native bats so special, why they need our help and how to use a bat detector.

As the sun sets we'll lead a guided walk, stopping to marvel as the different bat species emerge, hopefully spotting one of the rarer species of bat in the UK!

Booking essential here: https://www.tickettailor.com/events/rootedchippenham/2238154

Rooted Chippenham will also be exhibiting at Eco-Future Fest on the 14 June in the Neeld Hall 11am to 4pm.

Definitely worth a look always spectacular!

Have you heard? History is set to come alive in Chippenham.

On Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 July, The English Civil War Society will transform the town back to the turbulent days of 1643, when the Civil War swept through Wiltshire and the West Country.

Step into a bustling encampment and vibrant tented village on The Island in Monkton Park, where the sights, sounds and skills of the 17th century take centre stage. Watch traditional trades and crafts in action, meet the townsfolk of the time, and even pick up the latest war news from a working printing press producing authentic newssheets hot off the press.

For more information and to see the full timetable, please visit bit.ly/BoC2026.

This is a free event delivered by The English Civil War Society in partnership with Chippenham Town Council.
