Saturday 20th June - it’s carnival day!

Save the date and come and support your village hall, local charities and business stalls at the WMI.

Fairground rides, performances and plenty of lovely food, drink.

As always we need to put out a desperate shout for help. We are a very small committee of 6 people and manning big events like these is a huge challenge. In particular this year we are really struggling for support - any help on the day before, during or after would be hugely appreciated!

Please note - renovations to the main hall roof will commence on 9th February and last approximately 2 months.

During this time we will not be able to take any additional bookings. Regular users where possible will be using the Atrium and Committee room, which has already been arranged.

We will shortly have a vacancy for two paid roles at the WMI:

1 x caretaker - regularly checking the building, undertaking small repairs and escalating any bigger issues

1 x cleaner - one deep clean once a week and a top up clean once a week

Both roles could be undertaken by one person if appropriate.

***please share - WE NEED YOUR HELP***

Our Winter Fair is scheduled for Saturday 29th November and we are desperately short of volunteers to help support the event, and sadly at risk of having to cancel.

We need ten volunteers in order to make the event possible - can anyone lend any time to help between 12-4pm on the day? Nothing massively taxing - just helping sell drinks and food, bit of tidying or manning the odd fundraising stall for us.

We also need some help with raffle prizes and setting up the evening before.

Come on Penyffordd, Penymynydd and Dobshill 💪🏼 it would be a shame to have to cancel this festive loveliness - we have got Santa waiting in the wings to say hello to the little ones on the day! 🎅🏻
