This November, we’re celebrating Chester’s one-of-a-kind Rows with a month of tours, talks and tales - and the first part of the line-up is now live.

🕯️ An Evening of Midwinter Gothic - 4 Nov
Ghostly tales, a forgotten Chester tragedy and the city’s darker past, in the cosy surroundings of Chapters Book Bar on Watergate Row.

🌙 Chester Rows at Night - 5 Nov
Join Conservation Officer James Dixon to discover what only appears on the Rows after dark.

🏗️ The Lockwood Legacy Tour - 7 Nov
An exclusive tour led by the architects who carry on the legacy of Victorian Rows pioneer Thomas M. Lockwood.

🎲 Murder on the Rows - 10 Nov
Solve strange Victorian murders and face Eldritch horrors in a tabletop roleplaying game beneath the Rows. No experience needed!

🎭 Mrs Mainwaring’s Masquerades - 14 Nov
Step into 1820s Chester and the glittering masquerades that had the whole town talking.

Many of these events have limited spaces, so we’d recommend booking early to avoid disappointment. And this is just the beginning - more events will be added in the weeks ahead!

Fancy spending a relaxed, feel-good day singing, laughing and enjoying some wonderful food?

Join us on Saturday 17 October for an informal singing workshop with our Musical Director, Matt Baker. You don’t need any choir experience and you don’t need to be able to read music. There’s nothing to prepare. Just come along and enjoy yourself! 🎵

We’ll learn some great songs together, with plenty of time for tea, coffee and chatting. There’ll also be delicious food served throughout the day, including lunch and desserts. 🍰☕💗

Come with a friend, bring your mum or daughter, or come on your own and meet some lovely new people. It’s friendly, relaxed and all about enjoying the music and having a really good day.

💕🎶 Fancy a feel-good day of singing, delicious food and plenty of laughs? 🎶💕

We’re holding another A Handbag of Harmonies singing workshop day on Saturday the 17th of October and we’d love you to join us. 💗

It’s a relaxed, informal day of singing with our Musical Director, Matt Baker. You don’t need to read music, you don’t need any choir experience. Just turn up and enjoy singing with a room full of other women. 🎵✨

We’ll spend the day learning some great songs, with plenty of time for chatting, tea and coffee, a lovely lunch and, of course, dessert! 🍰☕💕

Come with a friend, bring your mum or daughter, or come on your own and meet some new people. There’s no pressure and no expectations, just a really enjoyable day of music, laughter and good company. 💕🎶
