Come along and meet more people in the local community and find out more about Rotary?

Medway Sunlight Rotary is inviting local businesses and organisations to join them for a friendly, informal networking breakfast at St Mary’s Island Community Centre on Thursday, 17 September..

Guest speaker Richard Farrer from Chatham Maritime Trust will share an overview of the Trust, what it is responsible for and its role across Chatham Maritime.

Steve Gerring, President of Medway Sunlight Rotary , will also be speaking about the club and how it works with local businesses and organisations to support the community.

A message to reach you just before the back to school/work/ post holiday wash or even a quiet rest of the day . . . . . .

Two dates we invite you to join us for. The full details are on events on this page.

First arriving is our Big Business Networking Breakfast early on Thursday, 17 September. You may not be a BIG business but you mean a lot to our commercial community -- so come and join us and also hear from Richard Farrer, CEO of Chatham Maritime Trust who will provide an overview of CMT’s activities, what it is responsible for and how it delivers.

Then on Saturday, 19 September, come and hear the voices of "Harmony". A great evening with music for everyone and helping us help the Maidstone Hospital Oncology Department, a vital resource for many local people.

Both events are at St Mary's Island Community Centre and we are sure you know where that is!

We are very pleased to say that Medway Sunlight Rotary has received a Rotary International Club Excellence Award for its action and support to communities here and beyond. Your support -- especially from the facebook groups and supporters --has made that possible. See you soon!

Three weeks away and we want you to reserve your seats for our evening with Harmony Kent on St Mary's Island.

Not only do we look forward to Saturday, 19 September and an evening of great music from this popular local group but we need to complete your welcome and our catering.

Your ticket includes a comprehensive shared cheeseboard to each table of eight-- so we have shopping to do.

Reserve your tickets by email on [email protected] and then pay on the evening.

The evening will be supporting the Maidstone Hospital Oncology Department.

Have you got one? A self-propelled mower that you would like to find a new home for!

The Rainham Community Orchard needs to replace its old mower – the machine that is not the person pushing it!

A small band of volunteers look after over 250 fruit trees planted on a new site. Regular mowings of the grass between the rows are required to allow the trees to flourish and the current mower is on its last legs.

Do you have an unwanted self-propelled mower to donate to help the volunteers?

Have you seen our new header here?

Yes, the traffic is not that heavy around the island area about 7.00am and you will be most welcome to call in at the St Marys Island Community Centre where we will surprise you . . . .

Dragon Boat Racing we are well known for -- but what about Youth Competitions, bulb planting, providing wheelchairs, helping at community events and more while also very interested in what is happening in the wider World.

All with enjoying interesting company and offering ways of extending and widening your skills and ideas.

Not forgetting our speakers on the day . . . . .
