In the last few years of his life, Lee worked as a Support Assistant looking after adults with Autism, Downs Syndrome and 1 lovely man he was very close to, who had an acquired brain injury. Unfortunately J couldn't verbalise very well and therefore called Lee, Bee ๐Ÿ

So, it felt very apt today to receive this lovely card in the post from Deana Kenward MBE, Founder and Patron of Addison's Disease Self-Help Group to say thank you for the work we have done and will continue to do for the charity in memory of Lee ๐Ÿ’”๐Ÿ’™

Massive well done to Lauren (along with Grandad John) for taking part in the Carlisle 10k this morning and smashing her PB ๐Ÿ˜‰

Lovely to meet her mum and dad, Julie and Robert and cheer her on.

Amazingly, she has raised ยฃ600 for our nominated charity ADSHG in memory of Lee.

Thank you so much Lauren!!

This mind blowing amount was raised from last week's performances of The Play That Goes Wrong at The Duchess Theatre in London's West End.

Once again, we'd like to send massive thanks to Lexie Ward for making this happen.

Every donation helps ADSHG raise awareness of adrenal insufficiency, including Addison's disease, ensuring more people are aware, prepared and are understood when it matters most. Your support powers their work with healthcare professionals, improving recognition, treatment and emergency response for adrenal crisis.

ADSHG are driving change, strengthening patient confidence and saving lives. With your help, they can reach even more people who need them.

London bound!

Tonight we are going to the Duchess Theatre to watch the play we've heard so much about, The Play That Goes Wrong , but also collect the donations gathered for Addison's Disease Self-Help Group from last week's audiences. Again, massive thanks to Lexie Ward for making this happen ๐Ÿ‘ ๐ŸŽญ

Tomorrow, we've been invited by Sunny Deo to take part in a podcast ๐ŸŽ™with Onevybe/ Rightvybe when we'll tell Lee's story and spread more awareness of AD together with representatives from ADSHG.

Sunday is Mother's Day. What better day is there to spend some mum and son time, seeing some sights and watching the start of the โ˜˜๏ธ St Patrick's Day parade before returning back to Carlisle.

A special thank you ๐Ÿ™ to Lexie Ward who made this happen in memory of Lee Armstrong . Total will be posted next week on...

2 years today Lee Armstrong ๐Ÿ’”๐Ÿ˜ข

Since me, Debbie Armstrong and your brother Chris Armstrong walked to the hospital at 6am, arm in arm thinking by the time we got there we'd see the sunrise on what we knew was going to be your last day with us.

Since I last held your warm body and kissed your warm cheek.

Since I last told you that I loved you hoping that you would hear me.

We love and miss you so much our darling Lee xx

At last it's finished - my painting of the summit of High Pike near Caldbeck.

High Pike is a special place for me my family, we have climbed it at various times with Lee and his brothers. I struggle to get up there nowadays (or I did on the route that Mark last took me!) but have lovely memories when we went up with Lee a few years ago.

I spent 2 days on Paint with Victoria courses doing this and at times I thought I'd taken on more than I could chew, at one point getting quite upset with myself thinking I just couldn't do it and was about to give up but with help and encouragement from Victoria Newstead, I persevered and it's done and going up on the wall soon. Victoria did do a few finishing touches as I still hadn't finished it fully by the end of the second day so I can't take all the credit but I love it!

Debbie xx
