99.9% of peer reviewed climate studies agree on one conclusion: climate change is real, and human activity is the primary cause.

In 2021, researchers Mark Lynas, Benjamin Houlton, and Simon Perry analyzed more than 88,000 climate related scientific papers. Their study found that over 99.9% of peer reviewed research agrees that humans are the main driver of current climate change.

This conclusion is supported by an enormous body of evidence. Scientists have examined global temperature records, melting glaciers, rising sea levels, satellite observations, ocean heat content, and atmospheric carbon dioxide concentrations. Together, these datasets consistently show that the rapid warming observed over the past century cannot be explained by natural factors alone.

The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), the world's leading climate science body, stated in its Sixth Assessment Report that human influence on the climate system is "unequivocal." The report concluded that greenhouse gas emissions from human activities have already increased global temperatures by approximately 1.1°C above pre industrial levels.

Coal, oil, and natural gas remain among the largest sources of carbon dioxide emissions worldwide. When these fossil fuels are burned, they release greenhouse gases that trap heat in the atmosphere, driving further warming and contributing to more frequent heatwaves, rising sea levels, and other climate related impacts.

Today, the scientific discussion is no longer centered on whether climate change is happening. The focus has shifted to how quickly emissions can be reduced, how societies can adapt to a changing climate, and how clean energy technologies can help limit the most severe future consequences.🌍

South Korea has opened a 1-gigawatt floating solar farm on the Saemangeum tidal flat reservoir generating clean electricity.

South Korea has opened a 1-gigawatt floating solar installation on the freshwater reservoir created within the Saemangeum tidal flat reclamation — the world's largest reclaimed tidal flat enclosed by a 33-kilometre seawall — achieving the largest single-phase floating solar commissioning in history and bringing the total Saemangeum renewable energy capacity to over 3 gigawatts across wind, solar, and storage.

The 1-gigawatt floating solar array uses 2.8 million bifacial monocrystalline panels on high-density polyethylene pontoons specifically engineered to withstand the Yellow Sea's typhoon swell conditions and the seasonal ice formation in the Saemangeum reservoir's northern sections during winter. The floating array simultaneously reduces reservoir evaporation by 70 percent — conserving water critical for the agricultural irrigation.

The 1-gigawatt Saemangeum floating solar installation powers approximately 430,000 South Korean households and provides South Korea with the largest operational floating solar capacity of any country outside China. South Korea's Ministry of Trade Industry and Energy has approved the remaining 2 gigawatts of Saemangeum floating solar capacity from the originally planned 3-gigawatt total, with.
