Fantastic to start the day at WCVA | CGGC with some powerful speeches led by the new Deputy First Minister of Wales Sioned Williams and WCVA's CEO, Dr Lindsay Cordery-Bruce. 'It's impossible to measure the third sector, but you'd notice it if it wasn't there.' In case you missed it, we're really pleased to be adding another date to our members' diaries for furthering conversations on our support to you, and what that means in the context of a Cardiff third sector when we all come together. To mark the end of the , do join us on Thursday, 2nd July 2026 from 1pm for our inaugural Cardiff Community Gathering event at The Hive, St Mellons. There'll be workshops, stalls and plenty of opportunities to network. Lunch and refreshments will be available. Come along!

Thank you to our members for arranging activities as part of which comes under the theme 'Courage' for this year's campaign. We are aware that recent events has led to rising cases of division and hostility being reported in our local communities. This emphasises our need to stick together more than ever, and promote inclusion and belonging, so please remember to check in with each other and with service users.

Loneliness. We all feel it from time to time. With this week marking , it's a reminder to check in with yourself and anyone you are connected to. A huge thank you to our members for everything they do in creating connections and reducing the effects of loneliness and isolation.

For resources this week relating to the campaign:
- Marmalade Trust who hosts the awareness campaign has shared a range of conversation prompts as ways to mitigate the effects of loneliness;
- A free 10-year report is available to download on the accomplishments of the campaign so far, and the next set of priorities.

The 'Let's Talk Active Travel' grant is now closed. Thank you to everyone who has applied to this grant funding developed in partnership with Transport for Wales Trafnidiaeth Cymru. We have been overwhelmed with the response and will now take the time to go through the applications. We will be in touch soon with applicants.

C3SC is pleased to announce that the next round of the Cardiff Youth Led Grant is now available. The Cardiff Youth Led Grants are small grants offered by young people to young people to support community action projects that encourage youth volunteering. This is a fantastic opportunity to support young people aged 14-25 looking to get started or already working on a project that promotes positive changes in their community.

Up to £1,000 is available for each successful project in this round.

We listened, and in response, we're so pleased to mark the end of the Month of Community with C3SC's Cardiff Community Gathering, due to take place on Thursday, 2nd July from 1pm at The Hive, St Mellons. Join us!

This new annual event is a dedicated space for our members to come together to continue the conversation on collective approaches to strengthening our local services. Navigating changes in the third sector is never easy but you don't have to do it alone. Expect workshops, stalls, and opportunities to network.
