π Why is it that you can receive 100 lovely comments, but it's always the negative ones that sticks with you?!
π We've sadly seen an increase in abuse towards our warehouse team recently, whether that's over the phone, by email, on social media or in person.
π A gentle reminder that we are not a house clearance service. Our collection team will only take items they feel we can successfully rehome. As a self-funded charity, we simply cannot afford disposal costs for items we can't use.
π We're also unable to offer a personal shopping service. We can't provide photos and measurements for every item or contact people when specific items arrive. If you're looking for something particular, it's always best to pop in and see us.
πWe have items to suit ALL budgets. The higher-value items (but still absolute bargains) you see online help fund everything we do. Last week, they helped us furnish a home for a young man leaving care, and today they helped us provide a mattress for someone fleeing domestic abuseβboth completely free of charge.
π Please bring your measurements when visiting. Sadly, sideboards don't bend to fit, and our team shouldn't be shouted at when something won't fit in your home
π Finally, if I don't reply to messages at 10pm, 4am, or within 10 seconds, it's simply because those times are not within my working hours. A little patience, and a "please" and "thank you", go a very long way.
π We will always do our best to help, but we do need to have boundaries. Thank you to the many kind, supportive customers who make what we do worthwhile. β€οΈ We see you and appreciate you so much- you're the best!
