The St. Theresa Girls’ College, Jos, aims to give holistic education to the girl child and equip her for life. We give them lunch after classes, keep them to read and study, and they go home at 5:00 pm. We express our appreciation to Coles-Medlock, who donated the books, and to Books to Africa, who made them available to us.

St Theresa Girls' College received 5,000 books. Their shipment was sponsored by the Coles Medlock Foundation. Thank you .

Before finding out about Books2Africa, Springhill International School had a very limited book collection for nursery and primary pupils. There were not enough age-appropriate books to support early literacy, independent reading, or classroom activities. As a result, our school needed additional books to strengthen our library, encourage a reading culture, and support effective teaching and learning for young children.

Their shipment contained a total of 1,100 books and they were delivered to Nigeria. This shipment was funded by the 1 Million Books Fund.

A massive thank you to Julie and Lindi from All Saints Church, Biddenden. This week, they dropped off their 2nd van load of books and computers.

They recently did a Lent Appeal and gathered all of these donations through that.

Thank you, Julie and Lindi!

We had a lovely visit from the Valley Invicta Primary School at Kings Hill last week. Our logistics team gave them a tour and a rundown of the process for getting books from schools in the UK to those across Africa.

They were even kind enough to donate some books!

Thank you! Invicta Primary School at Kings Hill

This week, we had a visit from Leo and David, two amazing students from College and Collegiate Sixth Form Centre. They have been kind enough to collect donated books and are raising money to fund their shipment to Ghana.

After a talk at Eton in March, we were intrigued to hear that Leo and David have started a new charitable project, GoalShare, and wish to collaborate to send aid to Ghana, more specifically, football equipment and books.

Support GoalShare by following them and donating to their cause!

After all the work put into the London Book Fair, we are now having a well-earned break from publishing and looking forward to donating more books and, more specifically, computers.

Our tech team is working hard to finalise a new workflow and less restrictive system requirements to ensure more devices are sent to Africa this year. Our goal is to increase the number of donated laptops to 100 this year.

Which means we need your old laptops. So, please, if you have an old laptop gathering dust in your home, donate it to our cause. Our team will be able to completely remove all data and send you an official certificate once it is completed.

To donate your laptops for free, go to: www.computers2africa.org/donate-computers/

Also, follow Computers2Africa on social media for some interesting tech content.

Following on from her interview earlier, Paula is now going to take us on a tour of the upstairs area of the London Book Fair. Here you can find a range of stands from lots of diverse countries and backgrounds around the world.

This is where we hope to be in the coming years, but we can't do it without you. Please register your books at books2africa.org/publishing and become a part of this amazing journey.

Here we have one of our IVPs, Paula, explaining her experience of the fair so far and what we have planned for future events.

As mentioned, we will be attending LBF 2027 and the Frankfurt Book Fair 2027, so we are in need of additional authors to promote their books internationally.

You can apply to be on 'The Africa Stand' by following this link: https://books2africa.org/publishing/

We look forward to working with you soon!
