Friends of Avalon Sensory Garden We are a 'Friends of Group' Fundraising for the Development of a Dementia friendly Sensory Garden at Avalon Nursing Home Bridgwater.

We are nearly there, please help in anyway possible to achieve our goal this year. Can you spare some time to help? We are a group of volunteers who have lost a family member through dementia, we come from different walks in life but have a common goal in developing this garden which has been designed to provide a much needed area for the Residents to walk and enjoy.

Brenda and I chanced the weather and went into the garden today. We bought nine bags of top soil, cleared the area around the tree and started to level. We need to buy more and level further so the men’s shed can put the benches in place.
Yes it rained and yes we got slightly wet but wasn’t too bad in the end.
Still lots to do but every day we go is a step closer to our goal.
