💛 Could you be the next person to take on Nature’s Bond Sling Library???💛

After almost 3 years of running Nature’s Bond Sling Library supporting thousands of families and helping parents find confidence and comfort in babywearing, Alex and Stacie feel that they’re now in a different era of life.

But we’d love to see the service continue❤️

The support that sling libraries provide is so well needed — whether it’s helping a new parent find the right sling, offering reassurance, or simply being there during those early days.

So, we’re putting it out to our community…

It's really heating up 🥵

When the weather is hot like it has been recently, one of the most common questions /worries is about babies overheating. Here are some top tips!

🌞Keep both of you well hydrated, encourage baby to feed regularly. Grumpy/irritable babies and young children may be dehydrated.

🌞Reduce layers and try to dress in thin, natural, breathable materials such as cotton. Remember the sling counts as a layer for your baby, putting baby in just a nappy is fine.

🌞Don't forget to cover exposed skin with suncream if over 6 months, a wide brimmed hat, a muslin around legs or a UV parasol can be used in place of suncream.

🌞Some slings are made for warmer weather such as those with mesh or solar, others are naturally cooler such as linen and muslin. Choosing lighter coloured carriers can also help. Try to stick to single layer carries. Hip and back carries are cooler than front carrying.

🌞Cooling aids such as a damp muslin between you both, fans, a spray bottle etc can keep you both cooler

🌞It's OK to take a break from carrying if you both feel too hot. Consider other aids such as a pram or swapping who carries baby.

🌞Remember not to cover your pram or sling as this raises the temperature of baby

🌞Stay out of direct sun where possible, young children's skin is delicate so it's best to minimise sun exposure and ideally avoid the hottest part of the day.
