Thank you for another busy week at Petals & Pies! 🌸
We’ve loved seeing so many of you enjoying the beautiful weather along with plenty of lovely food, cakes, coffees and catch-ups ☀️🥧

We’re also back in the season of our artificial hanging baskets — perfect for getting your house and garden ready for spring and summer! 🌼 Message us for more details or to place an order.

Don’t forget, we’re OPEN on Bank Holiday Monday (4th May) from 10–3, so come and join us for lunch, coffee and a sweet treat!

📣News📣

🙋‍♀️We had a request from a lovely lady from Lewistown who had a cot and an off cut of carpet that she wanted to donate. She had contacted other charity shops who didn’t accept the items.

👶We don’t sell cots for safety reasons but Splice Child and Family Project accept them and are able to pass them on to families who need them.
Deanna Rose Lewis, one of our volunteers, links with them and they had someone who needed one, so we were pleased it could be put to good use.

🏠The carpet also went to a good home. It was enough to carpet a staircase and they were very pleased.

❤️When we dropped off the cot, Splice kindly gave us several brand new draft excluders from Dunelm. They will be on sale for £2 each on a first come first served basis.

🪩Our lovely Caroline Colwill is linking again with CCYD on the prom dresses, outfits and accessories and any donations can be dropped to the school or to our shop.

🙏Thank you to all our volunteers and to everyone who donates. We are very grateful.

The end of term Prom nights party
will soon be upon the students from the local comprehensive .
This year, the school sudents have Decided they would like to set up a Prom pop up shop where they will selling donated dresses, outfits and accessories that will help cover the cost of the Prom night,
We have sent our remaining few prom dresses,that were donated by our lovely community, to the school for the students to sell. We are kindly asking for your help again by donating any prom dresses, outfits and accessories. These can either be dropped into our shop and we can take them to the school, or you can directly pop them to the school.

The set has been purchased by Ogmore Valley Local History and will be added to their collection of treasures.

Has anyone ever seen one of these before or have any information about it?
