Cardiff Lions Club is proud to support a fantastic local initiative helping to make our community safer.

Cardiff Lions Club President Anthony Hill MBE joined Melanie James -Heartbeat Trust UK and Doug Dawson – Administrator from Heartbeat Trust UK to install six critical bleed control kits alongside publicly accessible defibrillators across the Whitchurch community.

These kits are designed to provide immediate help to anyone suffering a major accidental bleed while emergency services are on their way. Their importance cannot be overstated — just last Saturday, a bleed control kit was used to help save a person’s life at Cardiff station.

4️⃣Plough Inn, 1 Merthyr Road
5️⃣Oak House Communal Room, Hollybush Estate

🏆 The 26th Jim Rodgers Cup is in the books!

Cardiff Lions are proud to have once again sponsored this wonderful community tournament, bringing together local primary school pupils for a fantastic day of football, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

The Jim Rodgers Cup honours the memory of Jim Rodgers, a dedicated Cardiff Lions member whose family has continued his legacy by organising this tournament for almost three decades.

Congratulations to all the teams who took part and thank you to the organisers, volunteers, teachers, parents, and supporters who made the day such a success. It was great to see so many young people enjoying the game and representing their schools with pride.

We are honoured to continue supporting an event that celebrates community, friendship, and the lasting legacy of one of our own.

As a charity, every pound we save can be invested back into our community activities, so we are hoping to find an affordable storage solution for our equipment.
