KELLOGS UPDATE -
As our voulenteers and participants may know, kellogs has been having some vet inspections and time off to figure out what is up for him at the moment!
We have now found an answer for little kellogs that he has bone cysts in both of his stifles, which sounds complex but will be fixed by surgery!

Kellogs heads off to hospital on tuesday and will be having his operation on wednesday, in the meantime can everybody send kellogs all the love!

Kellogs is a fantastic RDA pony and we can’t wait for him to be back with his riders as soon as he is feeling better, keep a watch on our pages for updates on our super strong kellogs!

good luck kellogs 🍀

We want to congratulate our two shortlists from the RDAUK annual awards 🥳

First up is Donna!
Donna was nominated for volenteer of the year for her exceptional dedication to our equines welfare, donna puts everything she has into our horses welfare ensuring they have their regular treatments, are fully comfortable.. the normal things… however donna always goes that extra mile for our horses, finding them new homes when they had finished their role with us, taking them on for rehab when needed, being with them in their final moments and finding all our horses the best loan homes for them to have their 1to1 care and attention while also being RDA horses and arranging transport for our horses to come into group session, donna’s exceptional dedication to equine welfare has now led her to being the mid west region equine welfare advisor , we are so proud of donna and praise her greatly for her didication to our horses, we wouldn’t be here without you 🎉

Next is our wonderful dolly 🐴
Dolly is our littlest pony, but don’t let that fool you, she has a big character! Dolly is a reliable, safe horse for our youngest of riders and we wouldn’t be able to have those riders without her! she turns her hoof to any activity in our group, and nationally at the championships. she brings riders home with massive smiles on their face, a sence of achievement and usually a rosette when out competing. she is the best example of what an RDA horse stands for and can step into the role of a level two showjump pony and then step into a led countryside challenge pony. Dollys loaners also have lots of fun with her and have been out competing and even brought home a 🥇, Dolly, you are a well valued equine in our group and even the participants who don’t have you for their ridden session know you and value you, and those that ride you weekly know just how incredible you are, we thank you so much dolly!

We wish both donna and dolly the best of luck for the annual awards and we are proud of them both! 🎉

The wonderful .event.ponies explaining why we are still in need of donations for our big project, purchasing our very own horse lorry 🚛

A lorry allows us to transport all horses on loan homes, and ones borrowed from owners into our group setting weekly to allow our participants to still have sessions and rides weekly.

Our new loan model allows our horses to have the best life possible, maximising their welfare and allowing them to have 1to1 care and have a person who loves them dearly outside of the group, any donation can help us achieve this!
