😊 What lovely comments from our recent Ploughman’s lunch cruise. As an entirely volunteer crew, we get so much satisfaction from making our passengers happy.

And the food from Canal Trust Cafe always gets rave reviews!

🌞 We couldn’t have asked for a better day on Sunday for our 50s Canal Fair.

So many of you came out to support our KA75 - The Kennet & Avon Canal Trust 75th Anniversary. Thank you!

🙌 Our boat trips were filled to capacity, our canal merchandise flew off the table, over 30 raffle prizes were given out, children enjoyed making model boats and other crafts, we danced and swayed to fantastic 50s music all day long, and our accessible boat Hannah welcomed 160 visitors.

🍗 Canal Trust Cafe for the delicious BBQ - and the ice cream treat for our volunteers at the end of a very busy day

🎉 Join us in celebrating 75 years since volunteers first came together to save the Kennet & Avon Canal from closure.

👋 Today, Hannah, our accessible boat, sets off from Bristol on a special journey to Reading, retracing the route taken by Timothy West and Prunella Scales to mark the canal’s reopening in 1990.

By Saturday, Hannah will arrive in Bradford on Avon – and there are plenty of opportunities to get involved along the way!
