May Update.
We will have a stall in Westbury Gardens on “Join in Day” 10am to 3pm on Sat 6th June. Come down for a chat and see what we do. We will have some items for sale plus two old fashioned challenges

Since Feb the mixed bag of projects completed are:- The football Club fire exit doors, consisting of new push bars and replacing rotten wood (No photo). A refurbished side cabinet for one of our members, (before & after pics). The remaining Shortened Christ Church Pew sold. A New Altar Cross for Christ Church made from pew oak. This was CNC engraved thanks to a contact in Devon and a hanging rail for an occasional guest bedroom.
Also another bench was finished for the Council and this is now refitted in St Margaret’s Street near the united Church. Three more are in the renovation pipeline. Progress is steady but slow.

The photo with Mike in, caught him at the wrong moment, shows the end frames for the new Preservation Trust Bench and the office wall missing. Since Jan; Dave and Bernie + others have knocked the internal office down, this was just a junk store and removing it gives the Big Shed a more open feel.

We have for sale some pew fronts from Christ Church. Details below. If you want a free standing panel made please message me. These pew fronts are advertised on Market Place and eBay.

Late 19C Oak panelling / pew front from Christ Church Bradford on Avon

Each one is approximately 63" long(1600mm) by 32.5" high (826mm)
These are the free standing screen / panelling before the front row of pews to screen the congregations legs.
The front side is more ornate than the back side.

One end has the free standing support the other end was fixed into the wall.
The hymn book shelf is missing from both bits of panelling.
The construction is jointed with pegs, no glue and the odd screw.
They are relatively easy to dismantle.
If totally cleaned up the oak is a lovely pale "oak" colour.
One free standing barrier can be made by combining the two ends onto one panel.
