✴️ We recently had the privilege of contributing to the 2026 Windsor Leadership Dialogue at St George’s House, Windsor Castle.

In a time many are calling the “Never Normal”, shaped by constant disruption, uncertainty, and deep systemic change, dialogue is essential - staying grounded and growing together.

The Windsor Leadership Dialogue allowed a space to pause, reflect, and think collectively.

At Oasis Foundation, we’re proud to support the Windsor Leadership Dialogue through bursaries and sponsorship, helping enable a wider range of leaders to take part in this important work.

🕯️ The Dialogue brings together people living these questions every day:

• How do we lead amidst ongoing disruption and uncertainty?

• How do we stay grounded and sustain ourselves, and others?

• Where is the balance between awareness and overwhelm?

• What new possibilities might emerge through breakdown and change?

One of the leaders attending was Natasha Barley, CEO of Sailor's Children Society.

Following the Dialogue, we recorded a short reflection with Natasha on what it meant to step into this space, what she experienced, and what she’s taking forward into her leadership.

👉 Watch Natasha’s reflections below to get a sense of what the Windsor Leadership Dialogue is really about.

🧭 2026 Director’s Report from Chris Taylor

At our April AGM, Director Chris Taylor shared a reflective account of the Foundation’s journey over the past year - a period of watching, listening, and re-orienting within a rapidly shifting and unpredictable world.

Since 2021, we have been engaging with what is now widely described as the meta-crisis or poly-crisis: the interwoven social, ecological, and economic challenges shaping our time. Through this lens - and in our work on Navigating the Unimaginable - we have come to see how deeply the global economic system is contributing to conditions of potential collapse.

🔮This raised urgent questions for us as a small, relational foundation: What is ours to do? How can we support meaningful change in a world of radical complexity and uncertainty?

🌳 At our Strategy Day in September 2025, this reflection led to a refreshed understanding of our role in social change - centred on cultivating generative spaces.

These are spaces from which deeper connection can emerge: with each other, with the natural world, and with unexpected inspiration from the unseen. Here, the seeds of social and environmental justice, human dignity, and ongoing transformation can be noticed, supported, and allowed to ripple outward and inward.

We support initiatives that embody this approach - from Rites of Passage for young people, to collaborative social change inquiries, to convenings with earth-based practitioners and Indigenous elders, and to place-based networks building bioregional futures.

🌿 2026 AGM & Message from the Chair

Earlier this month, we came together for the Oasis Foundation 2026 AGM - a moment to pause, reflect, and take stock of the year behind us.

In her latest annual report, Chair Marion Ragaliauskas shares how the Foundation has continued to evolve its role - holding generative spaces that support and transform people, organisations, and networks working towards social change.

Marion highlights:

🌱 Rites of Passage with oikos International
In 2025, eleven young adults gathered in Galicia for a six-day journey exploring purpose, transition, and what it means to step into adult life in a changing world - with plans to bring this work to the UK in 2026.

🌀 Coaching Bursaries with Oasis Human Relations
We continued to support leaders in the third sector through 1:1 coaching packages, alongside two fully funded places on the Coaching with Head, Heart and Soul diploma.

🏛 Windsor Leadership Dialogue
We supported participation in the 2025 dialogue and are looking ahead to a 2026 international gathering of Indigenous leaders at St George’s House, focusing on leadership for the planet.

🌍 Prefigurative Social Action Inquiry
We were proud to continue supporting this growing community of inquiry - bringing together practitioners exploring how to live the change they seek.

🔗 Growing Practice at the Edges
From Networked Localism to Embodied Practice and the emerging Kindling Space initiative, we’ve continued to seed and support work that explores new pathways for wellbeing, connection, and social transformation.

🙏 A heartfelt thank you to our Trustees, advisors, partners, Oasis Human Relations, Associates, and the wider community - whose time, care, and commitment sustain and shape this work.

📺 Meet Dave Vanderhoven - Oasis Foundation 2024 Bursary Recipient

“The diploma provided a strong, important method for engaging with people around social change - something completely new that I hadn’t seen before.”

In this video, Dave - an experienced community worker and researcher working alongside survivors of homelessness and head injury - reflects on his journey through Oasis Human Relations’ accredited Coaching with Head, Heart, and Soul diploma.

He shares what the programme opened up for him: from the power of non-judgemental listening, to a deeper ability to navigate and 'orchestrate' the dynamics of change - working across activists, commissioners, and communities to help ensure every voice is heard, and to notice when some are not.

Dave is one of the recipients of the Oasis Foundation’s Social Change Leaders Bursary, which supports people who feel called to this work and would benefit from financial support to take part.

✨ Bursary applications for the October 2026 programme are now open.

🌍 Leading in the ‘never normal’
Learnings from the Windsor Leadership Dialogue 2026

What does leadership mean in a world of constant shocks, uncertainty, and deep systemic change? ⚡🌪️

In this reflective blog, Oasis Human Relations Associate Karen Hands, supported to attend by Oasis, shares her experience of the 2026 Windsor Leadership Dialogue — exploring the personal and global questions that arise when we step into complexity rather than trying to eliminate it. 🌐

🦋 From the ripple effects of small actions to the challenge of breaking out of familiar structures, her reflections invite us to pause, listen, and imagine new possibilities.

It has become an annual ritual for us to stage a Rite of Passage. This year we are back in the UK offering this transformational experience to folks facing life-phase transitions.

Held at the beautiful Canon Frome eco-village there will be time in nature, work on the land and structured time for reflection. The focus is on giving space for change to unfold. Link in the comments.

🧭 In September, the Oasis Foundation came together for a reflective Strategy Day - a valuable moment to pause, listen, and look ahead together, as a Foundation rooted in relationships, ongoing learning, and long-term social change.

🌟We were also delighted to formally welcome Lise Ribeiro as Secretary of the charity.

Lise brings 27 years of experience within Oasis Human Relations, alongside a deep commitment to whole-person, relationship-based practice. Over nearly three decades, she has played a central role in shaping Oasis initiatives, including the Resilience and Wellbeing network (RAW), supporting people and organisations to thrive through thoughtful, values-led work. As Secretary, Lise brings expertise closely aligned to the Foundation’s purpose of nurturing positive social change and regenerative relationships between people and planet.

We are grateful to have Lise join us at this time of reflection and renewal, and we look forward to the contribution she will continue to make as the Foundation moves into its next chapter.

For the past few years, the Oasis Foundation, together with Oasis Human Relations, has been working with 𝐨𝐢𝐤𝐨𝐬 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 - a global community of students for transformative change - to design and co-facilitate a Rite of Passage for young leaders.

Held in the forests of Galicia, nourished by food from the land, and guided with care by Oasis’ Chris Taylor and 𝐒𝐨𝐩𝐡𝐢𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐨𝐢𝐬, this year’s Rite of Passage became a shared and intentional exploration of transition - of letting go, facing fears, trusting what’s emerging, and finding a renewed sense of direction.

Three participants - Liam (Canada), Anita (Germany), and Tamar (Georgia) - reflect on what they discovered when they each stepped into this threshold space:
➜ acceptance and self-recognition
➜ calm amidst change
➜ and a life that feels more vivid, more their own.

❝ 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑹𝒊𝒕𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝑷𝒂𝒔𝒔𝒂𝒈𝒆 𝒄𝒂𝒎𝒆 𝒂𝒕 𝒂 𝒕𝒊𝒎𝒆 𝒘𝒉𝒆𝒏 𝑰 𝒘𝒂𝒔 𝒍𝒐𝒔𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒅𝒊𝒓𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒊𝒏 𝒎𝒚 𝒍𝒊𝒇𝒆. 𝑷𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒊𝒄𝒊𝒑𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒆𝒙𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒐𝒘𝒆𝒅 𝒎𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝒕𝒂𝒌𝒆 𝒂 𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒑 𝒃𝒂𝒄𝒌, 𝒅𝒊𝒔𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒏𝒆𝒄𝒕, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒓𝒕 𝒂𝒏𝒆𝒘 - 𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒐𝒏𝒈𝒆𝒓 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒃𝒆𝒕𝒕𝒆𝒓. ❞

Their stories remind us that rites of passage are not only for the young; the possibility of taking time out from the online world - learning and unlearning with others - is open to anyone willing to approach change with intention, humility, and care.
