All of our walks take place on Sundays and we have something like 14 walks a year as well as a weekend in the Lakes in the sum
mer. Most of our walks use a coach to reach locations in the Yorkshire Dales, North York Moors, Wolds or Pennines. Our coach leaves Church View, Sherburn, (between the Social Club Car Park and Dominos Pizza) at 8.30 a.m. If you wish you join us on the coach please book your place by contacting our secretary Jean Mooney (contact details above) at least a week before the date of the walk. Visitors are very welcome and the coach fare is £17 (£15 for members). You pay on the coach on the return journey and you can also join the club with a payment of the £10 annual membership fee. If you join us for a walk you will need good suitable footwear and outdoor clothing (including waterproofs!). On most of our walks you should be prepared for some stiles and some uneven and possibly muddy sections although we try to plan walks on good paths as far as possible. Our A walks are longer and at a slightly faster pace than our B walks. Depending where we are walking you may find that you will encounter some hills! Please bring and carry with you your own drinks and picnic lunch. We usually stop for refreshments en route for ‘elevenses’ and lunch. We may also be able to have a short stop in a café/tea shop at the end of the walk. Please bring a change of footwear (which can be placed in the hold of the coach, together with rucksacks and walking sticks)… no muddy boots on the coach!
