It's always nice to receive a heartfelt thankyou.
A Heartfelt Thank You from Bramham Village Hall
Grants from the Wetherby District Lions are directly empowering local efforts to combat social isolation and ease rising living costs.
Bramham Village Hub, operating out of Bramham Village Hall, is a vital, resident-led community hub which provides a warm and supportive environment for villagers of all ages. We are making great use of grants from the Wetherby District Lions to provide a warm, safe, and free-to-access weekly meeting space at the Village Hub for local residents. As the cost of living continues to impact local families, this funding helps ensure that Bramham Village Hall can continue to offer a welcoming, free-to-access space for residents to connect, combating social isolation and fostering community spirit by providing a warm and supportive environment for anyone struggling to make connections and make ends meet.
Lions funding and monthly gift card support has helped underwrite the core costs of running our weekly, drop-in community café. This allows us to serve fresh soup, hot drinks, and home-baked treats, ensuring a welcoming space for anyone looking to connect, where residents can meet up and share stories without financial pressure. It also allows us to provide free refreshments to foster local community engagement at the regular local ward councillor surgeries - and the signposting talks we run with other community organisations, such as the Dogs Trust, the Food Bank, In2Out and WiSE.
The Bramham Village Hall Committee and our dedicated band of volunteers wish to express their deepest gratitude to the Wetherby District Lions. We send a massive thank you to the Wetherby District Lions Club for your ongoing generosity and commitment to our village. Your support does far more than just help buy the biscuits.....it helps us keep our doors open and bring people together all year round, and represents a direct investment in the mental and physical well-being of our community. From the bereaved and isolated seeking a supportive network, to the older residents looking for meaningful conversation, your support makes everyone feel valued and included. Thank you for standing alongside us and making these essential services possible!
