Homelessness is rarely a choice and it's rarely just a housing issue.

That's why at BACKUP, we do more than provide accommodation. We provide the support behind the door, helping young people overcome adversity, improve their mental health, develop life skills, and create brighter futures.

Because every young person deserves more than a roof over their head.

⚽☕ Matchday in the Fan Zone! 🤍💙

Today we were back in the Fan Zone, and we absolutely love our BWFC matchdays with our amazing community! 🙌

We’re here for every home game, serving up barista coffees, tea, hot Vimto, Bovril, brownies and blondies- all while supporting our mission to help young people experiencing homelessness build safer, brighter futures. 🏠💙

💚 World Mental Health Day | 10 October 💚

At BACKUP, the mental health and wellbeing of our young people and our colleagues matter every single day.

For the young people we support, facing homelessness and uncertainty can take a huge toll on their mental health. That’s why we believe in being more than a roof over someone’s head. We’re here to listen, offer reassurance, build confidence and remind every young person that they are not alone. 💚

We also recognise the importance of looking after our colleagues, who give so much of themselves to support others. Creating a culture where people feel valued, supported and able to talk openly about their mental health is just as important.

✨ A little kindness can make a big difference. A listening ear, a simple “How are you really doing?” or reminding someone that it’s okay not to be okay can mean more than we realise.

Today, and every day, let’s continue to break down the stigma around mental health, look out for one another and create a world where everyone feels safe enough to speak up and supported enough to thrive.

💚 Because everyone deserves to feel heard, valued and supported.

At BACKUP North West, we're looking for 3 Young Person's Supported Housing Officers to join our Lucas Project in Farnworth, Bolton.

This is more than a housing role. Every day you'll help young people experiencing or at risk of homelessness to:

✅ Build confidence and resilience
✅ Develop independent living skills
✅ Access education, training and employment
✅ Create a brighter future for themselves
