Thank you all so much who braved the wet & windy weather , to get to our FUNdraiser this afternoon.

Over 25 sunflower plants rangeing from a teeny weeny 6.5cm to 168cms tall accompanied their proud growers to St. Katharine's for judging.

Considering the lack of sunshine & warm weather this summer it was such a beautiful sight to see them all standing tall in a row.

Our Tallest Sunflower overall measured 188 cms from the top of the pot to the very top of the plant with a single perfect yellow sunflower.

Huge well done everyone! 🥰🌻
We will update you shortly on our final count of monies raised, but in the meantime here are a few of our sunflower & baker winners & a special certificate for our wonderful Blackrod Community Choir for supporting yet another local event. They sounded just beautiful with a lovely set of songs.

Finally, thank you to all of the volunteers, including some of the Blackrod Scarecrow Team & Jean at the venue, who helped us make today possible in bringing Blackrod together again.

Competitors & non-competitors are all welcome to our fabulous floral FUNdraiser! It's a CASH ONLY event & all about the sunflowers that arrive in their pots on the day. No matter how tall or short, with or without flowers. There are trophies, medals, certificates & prizes! We have £2 kids crafts & £2 tombola & £1 potted bulbs! We would just love it if you decided to donate a soggy bottomed sunflower themed cake or bake - we even have prizes for these too! 🌻 So get crafty with the Scarecrow Team, drink tea & eat sandwiches, sausage rolls & cake with us OR sing along with Blackrod Community Choir from 2.30pm! For Team BT, its all about getting OUR lovely community together, taking part and having fun whilst raising funds for three amazing organisations. Remember, every donation counts! 🙏 xx
