Thank you to everyone who donated to our collection at Asda today. We collected 14 trolley loads that have helped to restock our shelves.

Many thanks also to Diane Dinning and Asda for once again supporting us.

We also thank all of our volunteers for giving up more of their free time to make this possible.

Just to let you know we will be collecting in Blyth Asda on Sunday 6 September. If you are there and are able to, it would be lovely if you could see your way to dropping an item in our trolley.

We are currently short of the items on the photo but any of the other items that are listed on the poster that will be displayed in store would be appreciated too.

Once again we thank Asda and all customers who continue to support us.

Many have been asking what we are most short of. We are almost out of t bags, noodles, packets of pasta in sauce and biscuits. We still have trollies in big Asda and Morrisons so if you can, it would be appreciated if you could drop one of them or any other items in our trolley or drop them off at the Foodbank on Seaforth Street. We are open for deliveries Monday to Friday 9 to 11am. fans

We are so grateful to everyone in the Tuesday Night Charity Dart League for continuing to support the work we do. Our volunteer Jennifer went along to their presentation awards tonight and was totally overwhelmed when presented with a cheque for £600. Thank you so much.

We got a lovely delivery of fresh produce this morning. Many thanks to George from Riverside back yard n allotment for all that he does there and visiting us in the rain to deliver it personally. We really appreciate the work you and your team do and for thinking of us once again.

Thank you to everyone at Cowpen Methodist Church for you donations of food and the cheque for £95.30 that was dropped off yesterday. We really appreciate your continued support.

Amazing generosity which was totally unexpected but very much appreciated.

Repair today at the food bank in Blyth.

It took under an hour to get this shutter reattached to the barrel, limits reset, new slip laths, and a bit of lubricant.

As this is a charity that helps out families in the community and all the staff are volunteers, there was no charge at all for this.

Now, I've been asked a few times when I do charity work, "Why do you not charge?" or people say, "You're crazy for not charging at least for the labour."



It's a charity that relies on the community to help those who have fallen on hard times. An hour, a few hours, a half-day shift its nothing to get this shutter working so the wonderfull staff can keep doing what they do

Yesterday some of our volunteers joined Reverend Den at Central Methodist Church Blyth 35 year celebration lunch. Rev Den surprised us with a personal donation of £100 in honour of her own special birthday earlier in the year. Those of us at the celebrations thoroughly enjoyed our lunch and we were so pleased to stay for the concert afterwards. The performances from everyone who represented The Ravensworth Singers were phenomenal.

Many thanks for the donation of £230 from Blyth Churches Together. This is because they have disbanded and still had some funds to distribute. Thank you to everyone who has been part of Blyth Churches Together over the years and being involved in setting up The Foodbank and helping us to help those who continue to get our support.
