This weekend (13 June) Blyth Foodbank will be the hosts between 10am and 12. Come along and support us to help raise funds to keep our shelves stocked up. Tea, coffee and cakes will be available at very reasonable prices. Everyone welcome.

It's been an other busy week for our brilliant volunteers. Quite apt that at the end of National Volunteers week we were asked to take part on the Newcastle Radio programme with Anna Foster covering volunteers in Blyth this afternoon. Lots of other organisations were represented too. It was a great opportunity to highlight what we do.

Then after that one of our volunteers met with our MP Ian Lavery as he had been invited to come along to find out about the work we are doing with Signal who are an organisation who help individuals to get back on their feet when they are faced with difficult circumstances which cause them to have to use our Foodbank.

The MP was very impressed in the work that we do.

National Volunteers week.

This week, Volunteers are being celebrated throughout all organisations.

Here at Blyth Foodbank everybody is a valued volunteer. They all give up some of their precious free time to run Blyth Foodbank. If it wasn't for the great work that our volunteers do then lots of people in the Blyth Valley area would go without.

A big thank you to each and every one of our volunteers.

Thank you for your continued support. Good luck for next season.

Thank you for your continued support. Good luck for next season.

Very pleased to confirm we’ve now finalised our plans for our 5th season working with Blyth Foodbank πŸ’š

Throughout the 2026/27 campaign, we’ll be looking to host 6 collections for the Foodbank across the entire seasonπŸ₯«

As well as that, 10% of the profit from the β€˜Spartans Wall’ tiles that are purchased within it’s first 12 months, will be donated to the Foodbank organisations 🧱

Profits from blind cards/football cards on away busses will also be donated to the Foodbank organisers 🚌

Further fundraising will of course take place throughout the new season πŸ“…

A massive thank you to everyone who donated shopping today. We collected 14 trolley loads at big Asda in Blyth. It is all very much appreciated.

Inbetween our collection days we permanently have a trolley located near the cafe so if you missed us today please consider dropping something in the trolley next time you are shopping.

Again we could not keep the Foodbank going if it wasn't for these donations and the continued support of all customers, Diane Dinning and all staff at Asda. Much appreciated.

If you are visiting Asda today Sunday 10 May please say hello to our wonderful volunteers who are collecting some essentials to help restock our Blyth Foodbank shelves.

Take one of our leaflets or buy one of the items where Diane Dinning and her staff have placed markers next to items that we are particularly short of.

Thanks again to Asda and all of their customers for your continued support.

Another fantastic donation of dog and cat food from our friends at the RSPCA
