Our staff and service users at The Steamboat enjoyed a beautiful day at Seahouses last week!

The weather was gorgeous and they even got to enjoy a refreshing ice cream 🍦

Sadly, Hayley recently lost her beloved guinea pig, “Baby”. 💔

So Susan at The Steamboat helped Hayley create a special guinea pig cushion to cuddle while continuing to work on her living skills projects. We think the finished article looks absolutely fabulous, and it now has pride of place on Hayley’s bed. 🐹

What a lovely way to remember such a special little pet, keep up the great work Hayley!

Happy Birthday Benjamin, from all of us at Blyth Star! 🎉

This week we had a lovely celebration at The Woodfuel Centre as one of our service users, Benjamin, marked his 21st birthday! 🎊

The day wouldn’t have been complete without a special cake made by Susan, which went down a treat with everyone. 🎂

One of our service users, Sophie at The Steamboat, has been busy in the kitchen creating some amazing “under the sea” cookies. 🐠🪸🌊

They are so bright and colourful and look almost too good to eat!

Last week over at The Steamboat, we celebrated Megan’s 21st birthday, which can only mean one thing… a Susan cake! 🎂

We recently visited Rory from the RNLI, who kindly welcomed our service users from The Steamboat to the RNLI centre in Newbiggin for a tour and a chat.

Everyone had a fantastic time learning more about the important work they do, and it was a great opportunity to get out and about together.

With the lovely weather on our side, everyone made the most of the day and treated themselves to fish & chips followed by some ice cream 🍟🍦
