Royal British Legion Blyth RBL Blyth was reformed in 2018 and has been getting bigger and better ever since. Come along and say hello.

We have a weekly Sunday Breakfast Club 9-11am in The Wallaw and a weekly Wednesday Veterans Information Point 1-3pm in Blyth Library.

It is now 44 years since the British Taskforce sailed half way around the world to protect the residents of the Falklands Islands. Today, 44 years ago the British flag was flying high and free above Government House. Although short lived, the battle claimed many lives, and we will always remember them.

I thought this excerpt from the Falklands website tells you why it was necessary to protect our people.

Fantastic to turn BBC Radio Newcastle on while travelling to hear our branch Volunteers speaking to Anna Foster, and promoting volunteering with the Branch. I heard Eddie from Anxious Minds who we share the drop in with and the lovely Claire from the Friends of Ridley Park who let us hire their pavilion over the summer for our Veterans drop in. There were loads of other community volunteers chatting too. Absolutely amazing to hear all of these lovely volunteers promoting the really good positive work going on in Blyth. A welcome change to all the negative stuff.
