From a base in Blyth Headway Arts provides high quality, creative, arts participation opportunities for communities in Northumberland and beyond, with particular expertise in engaging and including disadvantaged people, specifically but not exclusively those who are learning disabled.

Open Call this year is supporting 22 local artists with a chance to show and sell their wonderful work. Instead of exhibiting fees we asked each artist to kindly donate a work to our auction. Wowza!! You should see them!! A great chance to score a fabulous and to support the event.

Creative Cafe is happening tomorrow - come and join us.

These sessions are a chance to express yourself in a creative way, try new things and hangout with like minded people.

Local artist Sheila will be here to guide you through a creative art workshop giving you a chance to experiment and explore new skills in a friendly, informal, inclusive environment.

When? Wednesday 10th June 2026 (fortnightly sessions). Come along to one session or join us for them all!

Join us Thursday 25th June for our Summer show ‘Roost’ and Blythfest Ball - we have a fantastic night of entertainment lined up for you.

The night starts with our Summer show; ‘Roost’, a live theatre performance of dance, storytelling and music inspired by wild animals and the natural world as imagined by the stars.

Following the performance of Roost we’ll have live music, a bar and your final chance to see the Open Call Exhibition and Art Market.

Tickets: This event is FREE book your ticket via our website.
Times: Doors open 6pm
Roost 6.30pm
Blythfest Ball 7.30pm

Blythfest starts 20th June! 🎉

Blythfest is a celebration of Blyth’s art and culture, brought to you by Blyth Culture Network. Over two weeks in June-July we showcase the best of Blyth culture with an abundance of events, festivals, exhibitions, shows and workshops.

Blythfest has something for everyone from shanty singing to theatre, art exhibitions to community craft workshops.

The festival runs from Saturday 20th June to Sunday 5th July.
