Awesome Friday 🤩

CREATIVE ROUTE • a Friday afternoon to look, observe, sketch and explore : last session of this half-term today, and we spent the afternoon in the Mining Art Gallery ... sketchbook journalling 🩵

Sometimes the best way to discover art is simply to slow down and look …

… a few hours to pause, notice, sketch, chat and enjoy being creative in good company. There’s something special about seeing a familiar place through an artist’s eyes • noticing the things we might usually walk straight past.

Creative Route is part of our Art in Action programme • creating opportunities to explore art, connect with others, discover new places and support positive wellbeing.

This project is funded by Durham County Council ‘Thriving Together’ Fund • Point North • supporting activities that strengthen community connections, improve wellbeing and help people thrive.

Every Friday at The Artists Hub 🤩

FRIDAY COLLECTIVE : making time to explore • experiment • create

A PASTEL PAINTING exploration • this week we're freestyling using all our knowledge so far to create from a choice of images...growing in confidence each week

Our Friday Collective is a lovely group of people who are giving themselves permission to slow down, have a go and learn something new. There’s no pressure to produce a masterpiece • just time to explore the medium, share ideas and see where the creative process takes you.

Sometimes it’s the simple things that make the biggest difference • a couple of hours away from the everyday, surrounded by other people, with time to look, make and discover.

Friday Collective is part of our Art in Action programme • using creativity, connection and learning as a way to support positive wellbeing.

Learn • Experiment • Create

This project is funded by Durham County Council Thriving Together Fund • Point North • supporting activities that strengthen community connections, improve wellbeing and help people thrive.
