Stanhope Freemasons

Stanhope Brethren are taking part in parkrun with The Durham Freemasons Parkrun Group.
We meet one Saturday every month to run one of the many events somewhere in the province.

This is just another example of all the fantastic things Freemasons do together and helps raise awareness for the Durham Freemasons and Durham Freemasons Charity!

We also have a Jounior Parkrun Group that meet one Sunday each month so that the whole family can get involved.

Despite the very cold and wet June we've been having, the Mark Lodge BBQ was well attended and a great success!

Stanhope Freemasons back Historic Weardale Church.

St. Thomas the Apostle, Stanhope's twelfth century Anglican Church has received support from Stanhope Lodge and Durham Freemasons Charity.

Stanhope Freemasons, has donated £100 to the church's appeal for a new stone floor and this has been matched by an additional £100 from Durham Freemasons Charity. Each £100 donation from local people and organisations dedicates a stone in their name and helps to fund vital renovations, which will see part of the church opened up into a new space for the community.

The funding was presented to the church's support charity Friends of St Thomas Stanhope.

A new podcast has just launched! Search Durham Freemasons and find it where you listen to your podcasts or watch on YouTube...

The new Durham Freemasons ! The podcast is a monthly 20-minute conversation exploring the ideas, challenges and opportunities within lodge life across the Province. Each episode will be hosted by a small team, bringing in guests to share experiences and perspectives on topics such as charity, belonging, initiative and how we support one another in Freemasonry.

The aim is simple: to encourage open conversation and share practical ideas that strengthen our lodges and communities.

While the discussions will touch on important themes, the hosts will aim to keep the tone light-hearted and approachable, always grounded in the bigger questions that matter most to our members.

Let us know what you think.
